My brother and my son dropped in today for lunch -i popped over to a local store Zarkys for luncheon meat ,fresh hot meatballs and a salad i made for us.It was all around a nice visit.

Happy Tuesday! The rain has started here this morning.

My plan today is to put away the clean laundry. Prep some food. And then shower and go to the gym. I wanted to go yesterday but just didn't make it so making sure I go today before school/work is out so it is a bit quieter. Also once it gets dark I just don't want to go anywhere so I need to make myself go earlier.

    Have a great day.

@coupon girl- I went out to Mark's wanting to see what I could find for Christmas gifts and left with a new jacket for me
( I have wanted a new short black jacket for years)
I always tend to shop for myself Black Friday deals!

Cleaned out the kitchen freezer. Took out BLSL chicken breasts and will cook them up later today for quesidias/protein with rice and veggies.
Organized the partial packages of beef and chicken burgers. Have 12 buns so DS can use those up over the next week.
2 Peameal roasts in there. Will cook one up once I re-stock our eggs!

    Good Morning Everyone,
Thank you for all of the kind comments, I did not get a chance to post yesterday as the day got away from me.

On Sunday I ended up prepping, was it a normal prep, no but did a get a few things done yes. I also made a dinner that involved a little bit more more, was not a quick fix and honestly it felt so good to make a dinner and I was even able to clean up afterwards. I made mexican, earlier in the day I saw some sweet potatoes and remembered some Mexican potatoes I used to make and it became a craving.

Yesterday, I needed to work with a staff member which I did and we were done earlier than I expected so I called another staff member in another branch and went "hey, I know I said I would spend some time helping you this week, how does now sound?" they had a clear schedule so off I went.

I then ran into my Dad and we chatted as he was part of the emotions I had last week. I feel like some of the goals we are supposed to be working towards are not happening, mainly where I am concerned, so we chatted and will keep working on it. I know it is not an overnight fix but I needed to get it off my chest.

Then I ran into Bro and turns out both of us thought we offended the other so we both went to discuss it but all is good but also just discussed where we are all so busy but maybe we need to make time and sit down and discuss what is going on and how it will affect each other's departments. So it was good, I am feeling a bit better.

I ended up getting home super late so I grabbed pizza so I could try to catch up on work. The pizza was good but then a headache hit and the day was done. Sadly also woke up with a headache so this morning has been a struggle to focus especially since I am working on inventory so it is a lot of numbers and moving parts and that is making my head hurt even more.

Not sure what the rest of the week will bring yet but going to work through what I have in front of me and go from there.

Happy Tuesday Everyone (I keep thinking it is Wednesday LOL).

@SassyAshley ^^^ I love the positive steps that you made ( baby steps ) with your brother and Dad. Just talking can create an opening to heal.

My day is yet again a back breaker. I keep trying to find another area to put DD's things in until she can be here to sort through it all.
I may have found an answer but it just depends on how many of the items I can get out of that area of the cold storage room.
( the room itself is inside, we keep the door closed at the front hall entrance ) but the back wall is adjacent to the garage wall, so a cold room.

Many of DD's bags that I filled could potentially be placed in that cleared out space, instead of them going into the actual garage.
Mice still find ways to get inside under the garage door and I hate the way they destroy everything. We've had some success with trap eliminations
but they breed like...well like mice I guess? They are so darn cute, I wish we could live in peace and harmony....lol.

Afternoon well i popped over to my older brothers wife apt (who passed).I took her a honeycrisp large apple as she only eats frozen fruit she is 75.I wanted to go sit with her so she could get her needles but she said no it was too windy.

We chatted for 4 hours,i gave her tops to try on that my hubbys brothers wife gave me she took 4 tops. She in turn gave me a pair of jeans that no longer fit her and 5 coffee mugs (she was gonna donate i took them to store down my basement as i broke 4 mugs over the summer ) why buy new plus she gave me 3 juice glasses.

I also gave her a xmas card ,set of tea towels ,hand soap and dishcloth.A nice gesture ,i had these on hand in my tote.

The only thing is i got there at 11.30 and she made me a tea but never offered anything with it .So i was starving when hubby picked me up at 3.30 so just had a pop in microwave meal.

I did wear a mask in her elevator as i dont care to get sick from someone who may cough -no thanks .

Are they digging up the road, construction going on nearby, or new housing? The mice could be coming from that.
    But I hear ya.

So nice that you and your relatives give to each other, the things each other needs. Really nice.

I know you may have already done this. I sent a message to a big company. I told them they are doing a good job, they are set up right, they take care of their customers, and for years they are trying hard. A month ago. Today, they replied with thanks. And $10 e-certificate.

    Happy Wednesday!

Kitchen is clean (late night dishes washed!)

Friday looks like lots of snow for my area.... Feel like I am going to be trapped at home all weekend! Good thing we have lots to do here and have new tv watching options (Hello Disney +) thanks to my sister! I started Desperate Housewives last night- never watched it before but have been seeing clips and wanted to check it out.

Today I am going to continue on tidying/laundry etc. I have a large 5 level shelf in my office that I would love to clean completely but it is a big job. maybe I will plan to do it tomorrow and start first thing in the morning to get it done.

Ok off to try and get some things done and scratched off my list!

    Have a wonderful day!

@ShwaGirl I will not qualify for the working $250 tax credit.
Dougie Dollars will be split evenly between Out of the Cold program and local service organization running food bank.
I contributed a gift card for someone's gift thhrough Christmas program- all I can do right now.

Had thought to split Dougie's $200 three ways but I am going to need most of my monthly debits as Gst credit and Canada Carbon Rebate arrive in January, so spending plans exist.

Andrew Chang's About that segment on the Gst/Hst tax holiday- most of items being exempt from tax are actually already tax exempt. Find the clip on Youtube via CBC.

As a past magazine subscriber of local publication, I was pleasantly surprised with link to current digital issue sent out to curent and past subscribers due to postal strike. Plan to renew subscription in January to support the magazine.

Current I have 2 x 1.13 subscriptions for two daily papers for six month digital access. So worth the costs. Am thinking if I should pickup a third sub but the content does show up sometimes in two current subscriptions. Also considering which paper to continue weekly subscription with, once 6month trial period ends. Given the colder weather, I find that I can keep current with digital news if I miss the morning show or don't go to the library. Do miss handling newspapers and leisurely reading them.

With fall weather being a month plus delayed and bulk of leaf drop occurring in November, 120 yard waste bags were sent for collection.
Have another dozen bags ready for next week. Weather can be sloppy with snow or snow showers so I was motivated to get some areas done.

Hope to get book order email for tomorrow so I can do a big box stroll too and collect store flyers from Sobeys and other grocery stores.

No real baking plans for Christmas have been established. Missing pantry items here there and everywhere. Need funds to last into next week.

Giant Tiger VIP offer is $10 off $50 spend on clothing, home decor etc. Glad the spend level has dropped compared to past two offers.

@Ciel21 . Multiply your situation with many Ontarians. The provincial and federal 'gifts' of 200 and 250 are NOT helping the people that need help! Argh!

If someone is taking home $200,000 this year. And then their year end bonus of $10,000, Why would they need $200 and $250?!?!
