Well i need to take a breath ,i just wanted to call head office of no frills but they are not taking any calls due to high volume.I get up at 6.30 get ready to head out the door for 6.45 a.m as no frills opens at 7.00 a.m .Well i get there at 7.05 and a few other customers -oh they dont open til 8.00 a.m .Well they should have adjusted their website so most of the men went elsewhere.

My self and a few other women waited we chatted then the manager walks in with the franchise owner and one lady very nicely complained to him about the time mistake.His reply
well i see we are off to a good start-how rude he couldnt have even said sorry .

Then i had to got to 2 other stores after lococos to get frozen buns for boxing day nope they are discountinued ace ones .Then on to fortinos nope so i bought their fresh rolls from bakery .I will freeze one batch til thursday ,put the one in the fridge .

So i just ate my breakfast as i was hungry ,pissed off at no frills and their owner and i am tired -my knee is killing me also .uggggg xmas .

Good morning. The plan for today is heading to the gym shortly since they are only open until 3pm today. The I’m picking up some seeds for feeding my duckies again <3 , grabbing my pasta sauce order from RCSS. That’s it! Then home to RELAX then tomorrow we’re going to my local Starbucks for a coffee ( we always drive to the one that’s open and have a coffee and now my local one is open) then Dh is helpful me clean by pulling out the fries and stove. I’d like to do the same for the pantry but that may have to wait as it’s a way bigger job.

@coupon girl , this drive me insane I swear especially since Covid it has become acceptable to have no customer service. There are a lot of people who feel like and like I am here what more do you want.

Now I will say (and I am in no way shape or form saying it excuses anything) I also find big companies determined during Covid they could make it work (at the expense of the customer) and never fully restaffed.

Most of the time when I go to No Frills there are only 1 oe 2 cashiers and if there are 2 one is on the express lane. I ran in one weekend to grab something and yep 2 cashiers at 3 pm on a Saturday.

Sassy how true only 2 cash registers were open then franchise owner he jumped on and one other cash ,well i didnt care to go to him as i may have said something not too nice about his attitude.

Yet when i stopped at lococos a local store all registers were open upon store opening.Then i went to fortinos every cash at 9.30 a.m when i got there was opened .

Everything you stated sassy is so true since covid ,where is the politeness and good customer service -gone by the wayside for sure.

Well that was a nightmare. Surprise surprise RCSS was difficult.

So since I couldn’t get the price for the pasta sauce that was online in store I had to place a pick up order.

I ordered 12 jars at 2/$5. When I picked them up they first tried to give me someone else’s order :icon_scratch:, then when I got my order I saw the bill said 9X @$3.79 $1 pick up fee (which was fine) and a $5.23 ecom fee:shrug:. I was given the 12 jars even though the receipt said 9. I went inside to CS and asked what was up and she had no clue and told me to go to the PC Express dept.

When I told them I was sent here by CS since they just awkwardly stared at me. After 15 min of trying to explain it I was told that since I’d paid using points and the price was higher ($3.79) they didn’t want to charge me more so they “gave me the extra jars for free” Um what? I was also told that it didn’t matter what the price was on the order that I had. Um ya it does otherwise why would I order online?! The finally they decided to refund me $5.23 so it would only be $30 in product and I used $30 in points. Oh ya, one of them also muttered and was going to refund $11 and change at one point.:icon_scratch::jaw:

So finally it ended up being 12 jars =$30, used 30,000 points so it was free except for the time , and hair I lost pulling it out trying to get this cleared up :shock:. Sadly I’m done with RCSS. My time and mental state is worth more to me. The last place I wanted to be on the 24th of Dec is RCSS and on top of it having to go inside!

Home now and relaxing watching Dog the bounty hunter and having some veggie spring rolls.

Definitely the weather has become milder. Snow is softening towards slush.
Made a late afternoon trip to Fortinos- more jazzy tunes, lots of elbow room, and some shoppers getting groceries while staff in various sections were tidying their stock or shelves.

Finally found the PC Festive Pie to try this week. Product is in the same freezer as the Swiss Chalet pies. Bought some reduced price zucchinis and only some can be used for stir-fry. Rest of of the zucchinis are destined for the vegetable broth pot.

Hootsuite owl video is going to play during the next two days. Everyone could use a little calmness from watching the owl and the fireplace.

Re: the No Frills store leaders not acknowledging the wait given the discrepancy between website and store door hours. Let the office know. The store is responsible for communicating why store may be closed under AODA or simply needs to follow up with corporate IT if the hours were not posted correctly and perhaps a note online about the error, as well as on the store doors.

Merry Christmas Everyone.

Had a great time at Dad's last night, a little more chaotic as my cousin came with his kids and for some reason after dinner his youngest became my BFF and we had to open all out gifts together.

Today should be a quiet day, I have Cinnamon Buns in the fridge to make for Breakfast, Mom did not make her Homemade Chinese for dinner last night so that will be dinner tonight. I could tell something was off with her text she was sending me so I told her to order herself pizza so we also have leftovers in the fridge we can snack on.

I know it is Christmas but think I will get a little tidying up done before Mom gets up. I am not sure how much of my cleaning I will get done this week as for some reason our garbage is not being picked up so kind of hard to purge when I have no where to put my garbage but will see what I can still get done.

Merry Christmas to all. We are heading over to my brothers for a 4 generation feast. I am taking green beans fermier and a veggie tray-something to help balance out all the yummy indulgences. I hear my niece is bringing English trifle for dessert! DD and boyfriend will be arriving this weekend for a visit and moving to BC so will be closer to us-for that I am thankful.

Last night we went to girlfriends -i took her four grandkids small gifts .She made lovely food all laid out on table plus such good desserts .Hubby and i had Croatian drink from back home ,wow is all i can say.

Both my kids called this morning and grandkids told us what they got .My daughter is coming in this afternoon as Sebastian will spent the time at his dads side ,as today they spent the time watching Sebastian open presents .

I made the stuffing this morning and did a load of laundry ,now i will relax as boxing day at my house will be crazy.I am celebrating on boxing day .

Played Heads up ( again ) I cannot stop laughing at how difficult it is to try to guess when
6 people are all screaming a clue at you simultaneously. We're probably playing it wrong as
I bet only 1 person is supposed to give the clues to the one holding the phone. DD has it on her phone.
The gift stealing game is always fun and everyone has warmed up to it now.

The appy spread before the main meal was a true hit! Surprising to me was how everyone wanted refills
and more of the warm apple cider we had placed in an old glass carafe. We barely use that 12 cup coffee
maker anymore so it was useful as a warming hot plate....lol.

The cheese balls and those hilarious pinecones were also popular. Both DS's said the pinecones were sweet
and delicious. I told them to eat them up as I won't be doing a repeat next year....ha ha

@SassyAshley much like dogs, when a child " choses you " THAT is a huge compliment and displays a true
sense of trust of your character. They KNOW! Animals and kids see the souls of a person I think.
Congrats on having a gift opening mate by your side. Ummmm.. it's either that or you had a stash of candies
in your pockets! ha ha.

Best part about this year ( for me ) is I don't have to tear down Christmas decor. NO tree, tinsel, wreaths, lights,
bulbs, ornaments, musical battery operated Santa's or tchotchkes. I LOVED having the kids here, NOT kids anymore
but I can't pretend when I listen to them as adults in my head I hear a toddler. That's normal right? :icon_scratch: :-~

Odd question, does anyone here buy frozen Egg Rolls? If, so where do you buy them and what brand?

We stopped ordering Chinese Take-Out years ago, between the prices and that our local restaurant now only accepts cash for delivery we stopped ordering. We make our own Chinese now but Mom misses having Wonton Soup and an Egg Roll. The Wonton Soup I am going to try to make but thinking if I can find some nice frozen Egg Rolls that would be great, I know we can make them and maybe will one day but for now I am looking for a cheat.

@walkonby , I 100% get the adults Christmas now. Do not get me wrong I love my cousin and his kids but they haven't come in almost 5 years so Christmas has just had a different relaxing vibe to it. So I was a little anxious because I have come to love our quiet yet loud Christmas (last year once the drinks started flowing the rants started and it was kind of funny).

But it was nice having the kids there and my little buddy. It was also nice once they left and we could all just curl up on the couch and relax with our desserts and enjoy LOL.

Really did not get much done yesterday, we ended up starting the new season of Virgin River. I had then planned to work on my bullet journal all day which also didn't happen but hey that is what vacation is for.

I really want to get things done well we are on Shut Down but I also need to relax and refresh because once we go back the true fun starts. We go back on the 2nd and the first truck rolls on the 6th for the merge and as of Feb 1st it is supposed to be complete. I figure we have at least 3 months of chaos in front of us and that is all goes well, if it doesn't the time frame will expand.

Today I am going to do our laundry, I also need to clean my room and will probably end up with a few extra loads as I wash everything before I sell or donate it. So if our laundry is out of the way it makes room for any extra loads.

Need to clean the Kitchen Mom made dinner last night and she cannot clean as she goes anymore and I was just too tired after we ate, I will tackle that soon.

Need to decide on Dinner we have some Chicken Tenders to use up that I took out for Mom but she didn't use. I think I might marinate them in a marinate I tried last year it is Lemon Herb marinate and then maybe serve with some Orzo and veggies.

After that I will see where the day takes me, I did not bring any desserts home so maybe I will make a dessert for us.
