TGIF! Blue sky and sunshine to start the day!!
Should be a pretty quiet work day. I powered through my stuff this week so I am ready for anything that comes my way today.
Will continue on the cleaning in my office...loving the progress. Have a few boxes I would love to shred but thinking I should hold on to them for a little longer.
I have a new monitor on my desk that I never set up...maybe DS can do so for me this weekend but wondering if I should just move it to the top shelf of a closet and take back the space on my desk. Not sure I need 2 screens...I'm not that techy.
Glad our outing tonight is in my town. Not sure how late I am going to stay out but will try my best lol Anxious to get up early tomorrow and leave the house because I actually can!!! Have big plans for the day lol. Just feel like getting out and about and enjoying this sunshine!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Good Morning Everyone,
Ever just have one of those days???? I woke up this morning and my whole body just went nope. I didn't feel sick or anything not even a headache but my whole body just said nope so back to sleep I went. I did sleep in a little bit this morning but all good it is a work from home day so my commute was 30 seconds down my stairs and I don't have any meetings so I just threw on some sweats and came down to start my day.
I was going to wash bedding today but since I woke up late decided nope not today. I think it is my body healing and maybe the weather but I find I get really tired late afternoon lately so don't want to still be washing bedding.
It is a nice sunny day here but my plan is to not leave my house. I did our grocery shopping yesterday so today I could focus on work and then over the weekend I can focus on the house and not leave my house. I am also still struggling to focus, I still feel like a little fuzzy, I am trying not to overreact but thinking I might mention it to my doctor if still feeling the same when I go for an appointment for something else.
Realized last night I had not started a meal plan for the week yet so set that up last night and started to lay out my prep for the weekend. Still need to write the meal plan. There are a few dishes I had planned to make this week I did not make so I will carry those over.
Happy Friday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good day all frugalees! My day started JUST peachy!! ( NOT )
A 3" hairline front windshield crack on the drivers side that I saw on Wednesday after I returned from my 4 stops errand
extravaganza decided to reach out and morph into ONE LONG stupid line all the way to the passenger side.
Do we need this expense? Too bad, we will have to absorb the bill and get the windshield replaced. ( more for MY peace of mind)
My guys drive way too far for work everyday and lots of it in the dark. Bite the bullet on this budget busting month!!

@walkonby , that sucks.
We had to have Mom's replaced probably 5+ years ago now, same thing small little crack but one day in the winter we were warming the car up and it right across the windshield. Her was from a rock a truck threw at her on the highway.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Soak up the sun! I was getting my retail vitamin C checking out the cheery towels in Linen Chest. A bath towel is on sale and I saw yellow towels with bee motif. Went through the store for 20min. Should have tried out the mattresses-next time, when my hands are not carrying things.

Last night, on CBC Toronto News, there was a segment on the increased redemptions of the PC Optimum points. I think results might be skewed as some points holders are only trying to get lingering electronics and then not collecting the points. I decided to donate my points between the two charities on the platform.
What was the mystery item wus $50 or $60 at Shoppers today in the PC Optimum program?

Snow-I was travelling on Hamilton Mountain, lower east city, Burlington, then downtown Hamilton. Biggest issue is that buses most can only board people at front and there is snow between bus and curb about 50cm packed or melting. Burlington sidewalks are mostly clear. Hamilton is a mixed situation for sidewalk clearing-some areas clear then sections still snowed in or not cleared. Another issue-bus pads are clear but maybe there is hump of snow at the sidewalk as two different groups clear those areas. Still dicey for wheeled devices given packed snow and ice.
@SassyAshley you are so good to take down the icicles! I saw many residential and commercial roofs with massive icicles unknocked (and damaged eaves sagging from the ice in the middle). I would not let that last long at our house. Noticed that fire hydrants are snowed in also. I knocked down icicles and curling/melting snow overhanging one bus shelter. Tomorrow is going to be significant melt day.Last edited by Ciel21; Fri, Feb 21st, 2025 at 06:15 PM.

Wow today we saw a mother whale with a calf, another breeched 100 metres away, one sprayed us with a blow and I got to touch two whales that came to the side of the boat-WOW. So worth coming all this way to see them. They are huge and they feel quite soft.
