DH and I moved our valentines lunch to Wednesday to avoid the storm. We don’t usually celebrate but I have a Keg GC that I won last summer. The No tax will make it go farther as well.
I spent some time on the phone with Service Canada today because I can’t set up my account as there is an error, turns out the issue is that I never changed my SIN to my married name. I did not do a legal name change and so my married name is basically an alias but of course my banking is my married name so I need to go into a Service Canada location to fix this. I only wanted to make sure my ROE had been submitted from my employer. I will save this adventure for another day.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

@SassyAshley, I like your weather swap idea! We are three weeks away from Daylight Savings Time. Would be handy to have a snow cone device tomorrow...
The Royal Botanical Gardens has an exhibit based on Alice in Wonderland. Our local tv station went to it. First segment is about the themed tea offerings(must be reserved in advance and paid), then stroll through floral exhibits in the Mediterranean Garden and in main floor area. Finally, the textile exhibits in the main hall. Anyone who enjoys tea, flowers and children's literature will find the exhibit (timed tickets, 30 minutes given to visit the exhibit) of interest.

Good morning. Off to work again so nothing super frugal to report except another no spend day ahead. Dh got his CO51 rebate cheque yesterday. $20.71. I had him cash out since he hadn’t been using it in awhile and was in danger of them resetting him to zero.
Hoping to have the energy to check out the fly when I get home today.
Have a great day everyone

Learned the most hardest way that if a person dont want to change .
She will not change her bad habits or way of acting with me.
I did put so much encouragment to helps that person change so I am pissed and deceived
Now I just have to accept this...The goal is to live day by day not to much thinking hahaha !!!!

Good Evening Everyone,
Another in office day, it was a training day.
My goal was to be out at 3 before a flake could fall and just as I got home the first few flakes were falling. It started snowing here over an hour ago and everything already has a blanket of snow on it.
On my way home I had to stop and grab a prescription for Mom.
I also ran into Wal-Mart as it showed they still had Ice Melter in stock, we have a huge icicle issue over out front door this year and it keeps icing over my stairs and I have gone through more Ice Melter this winter than I did the last two combined. I got there and no one could find it so that was a bust.
Also ran into No Frills to grab mushrooms, I did not need any last week but was on my list for this week but it does not look like I will be shopping before the weekend so I grabbed a pack of mushrooms, a bag of Lemons and another bag on Mandarins.
I will look at the flyers tonight and see if there are any deals to be had but pretty sure shopping won't happen until next week.
Making a perogies bake for dinner with a side of steamed broccoli to use up some of the broccoli I bought last week.
I think the nose is healing well, I am feeling better, less pressure but still super tired. I did think about asking for Friday off but I think I have a meeting which I have to attend (it is online) so I might as well work.

**HUGS** @cath0007 , sadly everyone seems to be sick right now.
No, a person cannot change unless they want too and no matter what we do it has to be their choice.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

The Diary of A Ceo channel on Youtube had a new interview with Dr. Amen on brain health. Three things I really found useful:1) Dr. advises that we ask ourselves if something we want to do is good for our brain health or not; 2) his description of depression was a take I had not thought of in those words but yes, he is correct; 3) everyday Dr. thinks of smallest change he can make tohave the biggest impact today. Long interview.

Good Morning Everyone,
It is very white here this morning but it does not look like we got as much as they were calling for which I am okay with but shovelling and cleaning off cars will be needed.
Our town issued a weather event and all schools have been closed which does not happen here often. They came and plowed here just after 6 am but looking outside I can see most of my neighbours have stayed home today.
I know I need to shovel but I really do not want too, so I am kind of putting it off. Think I will have breakfast first and go from there.
I am working from home today and tomorrow but really regretting not asking for tomorrow off, but I also still have not heard if we have a meeting tomorrow and I do not think those in the meeting are in today due to the snow.
I keep reminding myself even though my face is feeling better I have to remember as they told me it is a broken bone and will take 6 to 8 weeks to heal but I really want to get back on track around the house.
Tuesday I decided to give myself the day off from housework, by the time I got home and still had some work I had to get done on Tuesday, I decided I could give myself the day off. I am trying to show myself some of the grace I give others but don't allow myself.
But last night when I got home, I did empty the dishwasher and tidy up the kitchen well I made dinner. There are a few things I need help putting away as they go in the top cupboards so I will have to climb the ladder. Mom tweaked her back yesterday so I did not ask for her help last night.
Also, our garbage was kind of full about 90% full and with the snow coming I took that out. I just did not want an overflowing garbage can with the snow coming, not to mention I don't know what it is but an empty garbage can always makes me happy as I feel like I can now fill it. Ok, maybe I am a little weird LOL.
Time to try to find my focus and knock out a few things.

Good Morning! Same here- Schools closed!
DS left for work at 8. At 830 I heard the garage open but I didn't hear the snow blower or the garage door close. Thought I better take a look and he was stuck at the end of our driveway so I bundled up to help him. Once we got his car out I was going to park on the road while he cleared the driveway but there was no room to park and cars be able to get by (that's how bad our cres. is at the moment!) So I waited in the car till he made a path for me to park his car in the driveway. Then I moved my car to the road and cleaned it off but couldn't find keys for the other vehicles in driveway. DS did an amazing job clearing the driveway even with vehicles...
I worked later yesterday to finish something..glad I did because now I don't feel so stressed today and will get my next project done by the end of the day for sure. ( Hopefully no issues!!)
Wasn't expecting the driveway to be cleaned till after 4 today so happy it is done now. I will take a break later this afternoon to pop out to RCSS for a few things (price match) since they are very close to me and I don't have to go down any hills to get to them like both No Frills! I was ready to walk with my backpack if needed today but the roads and sidewalks don't look good for walking either!
I took BLSL chicken out of the freezer last night. This morning put it in a container and marinated it with garlic and lemon juice. Will add veggies etc and make a nice meal tonight. Since my night away is canceled I should make a nice meal instead of being served lol Oh well another night!
Being nice and doing oldest DS's laundry. Last night after 7pm I washed a load and hung it up to dry and then put another load in the washer I put that load in the dryer this morning. Will fold it/put away later today for him. I have a basket to wash too but will wait and put in washer at 7pm and then set a timer to remind me to grab them and hang to dry. Trying to be smart about the darn time of use for electricity.
Have a wonderful day and stay safe and warm!
