    Morning!

Yesterday we lost power for 3.5 hours right in the middle of the day! I had a massage booked so I popped out for that hoping the power would be back on when I returned home but it was not. It finally came on about 330pm.

Monday was a $0 spend day which is great, I like starting the week off like that. It helped that it was windy and snowing and I didn't want to venture out in that.

Cooked up tons of BLSL chicken breasts on Sunday. Burger patties were made. Last night I made a homemade mac and cheese. So today is leftover day.
I think I will make chicken quesidias for dinner. (we have peppers/onion etc)

Now to get these work reports out of the way!

    Have a great day!

Well hubbys shoes were peeling and not great anymore bought at marksworkwarehouse about 5 years ago for 49.99.So they lasted .
We went to 3 different markswarehouse in our city no slip ons in his size. Then checked out the bay ,not much selection left in slipons .

So sketchers it was -he needed shoes first pair nice brown suede 114.00 second pair for summer canvas grey half off 29.99 so he is set for awhile .
The guy told me his prices were a tiny bit cheaper than costco ,nice to know.

I got a darn cold ,so gonna rest now.

Yesterday I had Walmart and Winners on my errand list. Noticed my SuperCentre has moved the clearance items from the back main aisle into the bed/bath area. In fact, other clearance rails are not near any main aisles-one has to go into a dept one or two aisles in to find the sale items.

So, I was rearranging the food/home/personal care/ misc items in the expanded clearance area and picked up two of the 15L Great Value trash bags at $4.18 each, one of the Knorr bacon carbonara sidekicks for 1.08, the only box of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay biscuit mix (forget price; plan to make the biscuits today for use tomorrow) and kept poking at back of shelves to make sure I did not miss any finds. Was tempted to get a KeurigMyCup at 10.18 to use for tea but my brother has one for coffee. I should try using his insert to make tea (from a bag, if I empty a teabag) with my Keurig Mini beverage device. Could not find a christening card. Got my first aid items and flyer and cashed out.

Winners-their cards: one area has just Mother's Day cards. Another area is birthdays (yes I spent time consolidating cards in vain hope to find christening cards-no! Found a few wedding, new baby, thinking of you cards mixed in with Grad and Teacher cards. No christening cards. Did pick up two sale greeting cards and a new photo album for a gift. There are now boxes of note cards to purchase. Have not found any Crabtree&Evelyn soaps since January. No sale dresses appealed except one linen rayon blend dress-fabric could be useful if I want to pay to buy a dress to alter it. Dislike the style otherwise.

I plan to visit Longo's Papyrus card area and find my desired card.

Snow curls for 10minutes fell last night while taking containers to the curb. Mr Wind huffed for 3h+ then, gave it a rest, only to return in the late evening.
Since I stayed up past midnight, I got two loads of laundry done before bedtime. That was a win for me. Oh, yes the windchill today is #spwinter.

    Good afternoon.

I’m off today before working the rest of the week so time to catch up on the fun stuff like laundry and bathroom cleaning .

I'm planning on making some banana bread with the bananas that are super ripe.

It was a no spend day yesterday and another one today. I have to pick up my HRT at the pharmacy but free with benefits, also thought I was out of bread as Dh took the last pieces today but remembered I had one in the freezer that I’d purchase on discount .

Question. For those that have a Costco membership (specifically the Executive membership) and have Airmiles. Have you used your airmiles for your membership? They have an option for purchasing a GC with dream rewards for a membership and wondered if you had any issues using for a renewal as a renewal on the executive one?

The dryer summons me….. have a great day everyone

@harbie I personally did not buy Costco membership with AM but I know lots of family member who did this and it works.

Count me in for the Vector Cereal Deal at SDM.
Unfortunnatly, they did not have the Maple One left I was looking for, only a cleared shelve.....
But I took 2 boxes of Granola One and 2 boxes of Crunchy Apple Cinnamon one.
I was sure I would not have the 3000 pc points per 2 boxes so 6000 in total but I did.
I was sure the offer was finish Sunday but I was wrong in a good way.
Otherwhise when thinking it would be free,I would had gone before today....grrr
BB is July and November so plenty of time for eating those.

They where on sale at 4,50$ .Regular price of 6,29$ yikes !!!So I had 4 x 2$ off coupons,4 x 2$ numeric coupons and 3000 points by 2 boxes=a great way to make those FREE with 4$ in my pocket.

So a amount of 25$ cereal value for 4$ in my pocket.

With the rising cost of grocery I try to benefit every good deals I can.

Good morning!!! Need to peek at the flyers, I suspect this will be a small grocery week.
Might look at baking supplies. I'm checking my inventory, and making sure I'm stocked up... re tariff situation. Things like Canadian flour I'm sure will be fine. And I'm. Sure give this situation 6 months... we will have more options that are produced in more/ less terrif Ed ways.
    Is anyone doing this....?

I am trying to stock up to some degree.

We are lucky being a household of 2 that certain purchases especially some items from Costco will last us 6 months to a year, especially some of the baking supplies like Vanilla, Corn Starch, Baking Powder and Baking Soda which may work in our favour.

I am all for not buy US products but I have to say some days I find grocery shopping a little stressful these days. Honestly, for me it feels like Covid all over in some sense, will the stores have stock, where is it from, trying to stay in budget. So I have been checking things we are already have at home so I can start to get a sense of what products I might have to find alternatives for. Turns out a number of our baking supplies are from the US.

I know it is not a science checking what we have at home as country of origin may change, heck I had two bags of PC Peas in my freezer and they had two different places of origin so I do still check in the store. But I find this way I feel a little less overwhelmed going in because in some cases I am expecting to see product of US and know I might have to find an alternative.

Yes, we are stocking up where we can. Again going back to Covid, during Covid there were times where we just bought what they had because of the shortages where is now, I am doing my best to go back to our basics and make sure we have those and try to limit the oddities.
