Happy Wednesday!
Chilly out but at least we have power and no snow!! (it snowed yesterday!)
Work- on top of that! (yesterday was a busy day)
Today- Kitchen is clean. Cleaned out 2 drawers in kitchen freezer. Took out a peameal roast to thaw and will cook that up in the morning for DS to make toasted sandwiches with. Trying to give him options without buying sandwich meat. (And use up stuff we have in the freezer!)
I just put a load of laundry in the washer. Will hang to dry once done. Then I will have a shower and get dressed for the day.
Off to look at the upcoming grocery flyers to plan my shopping accordingly!
Have a fantastic day!

I am also looking at what I buy trying my best to only buy Canadian. But to be honest My family used a lot of fruits and vegetables. Last week it was a challenge to find Romaine lettuce that was not from the US .

@flemeth , I admit I try my best but I have bought a few things from the US because I could not justify the alternative.
A couple of weeks ago Lemons were $2.99 for a 2lb bag from the US, the other alternative was from Spain but they were $6.99 for 3 lbs, and single Lemons were $1.29 each. I know some would say go without the lemons but we go through quite a few in a week.
But on the flip side last week when the Blueberries were from the US, I did skip them as there other fruit options on sale not from the US.
I try my best and heck in a couple of cases I have even grabbed something and just forgot to look and never fails when I get home, yep that one thing is from the US but now I know for next time. But even then I do my best and I am sure there will be things like the lemon where a choice is made, I just try to limit how often it happens.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Oh what a week it has been and it isn't over yet LOL.
I knew yesterday it was only Tuesday and even today, I know it is Wednesday but I keep thinking, it feels like a Friday, it feels like a Friday (oh how I wish).
This weather is insane, it was -16 yesterday, um it is April, not to mention it did not accumulate but it snowed most of yesterday and the wind was insane. Today at one point I looked up and yep it was snowing again. I am so ready for Spring.
I was in office Monday & Tuesday but should be working from home the rest of the week which I need desperately, I am feeling so far behind right now. My job is training but right now the other side of my job is so busy that even when I focus on being the System Administrator, I cannot keep up.
Today I did our regular laundry and the plan for tomorrow is the bedding, that is the plan.
Took a look at the flyers, looks like it will be No Frills for the win this week, although RCSS also has a few deals I might pick up if I am in the area.
Keeping it simple for Dinner tonight, Baked BBQ Chicken with a Baked Potato and Cesar Salad.

Little finds-
Yesterday, a rough looking quarter in the bike lane while walking home.
Fortinos had the John Frieda BeachBlonde sea waves salt spray product at 50% off. Yes, made in US but I have not seen one locally in years. Bought it and plan to spray my hair often this month.
Today-a free Giant Tiger bag, hardly dirty, in the shrubs on my way to the very same store. Handy! I left my tote at home to lighten my hands.
I wanted to buy that solid bandana at GT ($3.50, assorted colours with paisley design, good for warm weather as head covering for walks). Looked at all the pegs in various womenswear. No bandanas. Had to ask employee racking clothing for help. She found them flat-packed in bags next to folded pants on a table in the MyStyle section. Must have walked by twice and not looked at that table. Got my desired colour. Plan to return later in week to try pants on for fun.
Longos had a great range of blank cards and one was just right.
Walmart does have some confirmation and communion cards on endcaps facing out into the front main aisle that I missed seeing on prior visit. The clearance section had some turnover of stock and staff organized shelves a bit. A stack of Sensodyne whitening toothpastes were marked at $4 apiece.

Found an 8-pound tube of cooked turkey breast on its sell-by date at RCSS for $3/lb
Originally, it wasn't discounted, but I pointed it out to the clerk and asked her to do their usual clearance price. She told me that there were no managers around to do the process. A helpful lady buying discounted corned beef from another clerk suggested that she just punch it in as corned beef, since it was the same price. I thanked her for the suggestion and asked how she knew so much about the system. She told me that she used to be a vendor for Wrigley's, so knew some tricks. She also said that the clerks are not always very imaginative and they can be 'helped' with some resourceful suggestions.
I asked her if she liked coming into RCSS to rotate her stock, when she worked for Wrigley's and she related her experience with RCSS and Walmart. She told me that they were the worst/laziest and would never rotate their stock. In addition, she said that their union actually fought against allowing the vendors to come into the stores to handle their own merchandise.
The things you can learn, by keeping your ears open at the deli counter.
In the end, the clerk was able to get my tube of turkey breast discounted properly. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Good Morning Everyone,
Thank you @Giseledta , it is weird because it is good kind of crazy but still if I could find a way to actually be two people right now that would be amazing.
It is another work from home day, YAY!!!!!! I know most would see it as working late but last night I started tackling my work email to sort them, file them and making a to-do list. There are two different levels of being overwhelmed, just being overwhelmed or being overwhelmed with a plan, if I can go for with a plan it helps with the stress but also allows me to prioritize.
Another day of my phone telling me snow expected soon, when will spring come????? The cars were cover in a thick layer of frost this morning and they are saying a wintery mix may start between 4 and 5.
I was up early and got right to work so I decided to run out first thing this morning and grab a few groceries incase this wintery mix comes and turns to snow like my phone is showing. We didn't need a lot mostly fresh stuff but I went to get Milk because it was on sale and I thought we were down to one bag, oops we have two so either we will make Mac & Cheese this weekend or I will freeze a bag or two.
Also, I have decided when some of our staples go on sale, even if we are stocked up I will grab 2 to keep our stock up. Everything I picked up is made in Canada but you just never know what might drive the price up. So today I grabbed two Butter Chicken Sauces and 2 Alfredo Sauces. I wanted 2 pasta sauces as well but it looks like No Frills no longer carries our favourite (we like the roasted portobello), I think I got it last time at Food Basics so it is still out there.
I did not wash the bedding today because I decided I would do our grocery shopping incase we do get the weather they are calling for so the new plan is to do the bedding tomorrow.
I am hoping since I am working from home today I can knock out a few small things so there is less to do on the weekend. I dream of one day not having to spend my whole weekend doing stuff around the house.
Happy Thursday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
