    Good Morning Everyone,
A much needed work from home day today so I can try to get caught up. At first I was not too worried because I had a "free" week next week to get caught up but my schedule blew up yesterday and went from I will take care of that next week to next week is going to be quite busy.

I woke up with a massive headache this morning, I went to bed with a headache and thought it was the weather coming (they were calling for Thunderstorms this morning) but now they have pushed the weather off to tomorrow. Just had some breakfast so I could take something because it is not easing up at all.

There are a few things I would like to tackle around the house but right now I am struggling just to get my work done with this headache.

I currently have no ideas for dinner tonight, last night I just made Chicken Chunks, Oven Fries and the second Dill Pickle Salad kit I got from Costco.

I did write a grocery list last night but we don't need anything and honestly, I don't want to leave the house so maybe tomorrow I will grocery shop, we will see.

    Happy Thursday Everyone.

Good Day! Slow start for me....hit snooze this morning.

So much for hitting FB at 8am Will get there at some point today.

Last night we cleaned the basement. I had warned DS that it was happening as soon as he got home from work. We moved everything and cleaned!
Destroyed a broken bed frame and moved it out and replaced with a new one (we already had). So happy to have that done!
DS's friends called when we were almost done to make plans to meet at another friends house. His university friends are back home for the summer
And like summers before....the plan to shave all their heads was to happen last night! Excited to see him when he gets home from work!

Tonight- DS is helping me put the entrance closet back together. Hopefully we can toss many old shoes! I told him to give me 40 mins of his time and then the night it his! I also have a rack of clothes I need to know from him what can go! Very productive week!

Great combination of sun and wind for line-drying laundry. In anticipation of high 20sC weather today, I bought groceries yesterday and Gatorade zero powder sticks. I do not do well in humid weather so I wanted to have electrolyte drinks on hand. There is regret at purchasing spicy noodles.

My Lotto 6-49 ticket was not a winner at all. Dreams dashed of a shopping spree!

Tomorrow will be wet and cold. I intend to see the new Uniqlo store at Mapleview Centre in Burlington. Have their app loaded so I can try to spin the prize wheel in the afternoon. Will take along some spring tops for a Burlington organization that accepts clothing.

If anyone is holding $2 off low sugar Mini Wheats cereal coupons, they expire on April 30. I only seem to be noticing dairy coupons in stores recently. I have an Oasis juice coupon expiring in May that can only be used in Sobeys and related banner stores.

My Fortinos' clearance bookcase has a shelf of Captain Crunch Vanilla cereal at 50% off. Did not purchase any but in a nearby dairy case, I found 50% off banana flavoured Astro Balkan style yogurt. Bought it, as flavoured yogurt is a rare treat since I seldom buy it.

About to check my PC Optimum offers.

@cath007 great that your Sample Source arrived! I have seen posts about Canada Post delivery agents not knocking doors or ringing bells at homes where someone was waiting for parcels. Usually get notices to go to post office for pickup, even if homeowner sees agent leaving door via camera.
Also some Amazon orders are showing as delivered but not to residents who ordered them.Sometimes parcels are located a few doors away or maybe same street but in different community.

Food Basics shop done! 2 family trays of the extra lean beef for almost $32! I have the first package ready in a bowl to make burger patties. ( I am not a fan of the boxed burger patties...they just don't taste good to me.) The 2nd package I will cook up and package for the freezer to be ready to make quick pasta sauce for when I don't have a meal plan/or just craving pasta! Thinking I will probably go back today and grab 2 more packages and make more burger patties for the freezer!

The PC holiday stuffed turkey burgers and holiday feast pies have been removed after Easter from freezer cases. My store had about 3 packages of each product just before Easter in the freezer cases.

ok with trying not to procrastinate things...I turned the 2nd package of beef into burger patties as well.
So we have 24 patties and a container of beef ready for pasta sauce. Avg. cost per patty is $1.25. Not bad!
I have on a cookie sheet in the freezer now and then will put in large freezer bags.
Kitchen is clean! That is the best part of prepping stuff like this....no mess in the kitchen when you are pulling from freezer to the BBQ!

@Frugalbigmama , I love having all of our meats pre-prepped in the freezer. I have everything from pre-cut meats, to pre-marinated meats to Burger and Meatloaves so we just have to pull them out and cook them.

It was a total game changer, we started it before I started working from home and it made making dinner after work so much easier and we were not as tempted to have take-out. Even when I started working from home it was a habit we kept because because we love it.

The pre-marinated meats are a complete game changer especially when schedules get changed, we can still have a meal that looks like it took hours to make within half an hour.

Agreed! Anything to save time is great! And many times saves picking up take out when you know you have something at home you could make!

Popped out to Walmart on my lunch to grab a few things to get us through the weekend. Picked up a Sweet Kale salad for $1.92. Eating 1/2 for my lunch now with leftover chicken. Will have the other 1/2 tomorrow for lunch! I also picked up a reduced package of ground beef.... Will make fresh patties for dinner for tomorrow night with this package and then all the burger patties in the freezer can go in a bag and into the deep freezer Tonight's dinner is using the leftover chicken...I am thinking quesidias with salad/waffle fries! (the waffle fry bag is huge and I want them out of the freezer)

Good afternoon. I have today off as I had my follow up appointment from my kidney stone surgery last year and have been waiting for my test results. Well, it’s all clear! . According to the tests there’s nothing there anymore! I still have to go back next year and follow up with more tests just to make sure but I’m beyond excited. I reeeeeeeeeeally don’t want to go through that again . Back at work tomorrow.

I've been a bit spendy in the last few days BUT it’s for facial cream/serum and stuff that I desperately needed. My skin is so dry in perimenopause that any kind of foundation or concealer creased, caked and basically made me look old, dry and tired. So I had some samples of Estée Lauder and I’m in LOVE. The hydration is unbelievable. I still have wrinkles and that’s fine but the makeup doesn’t settle in them.

I went through Rakuten to the SDM site and made an order and received 42,325 points and then another offer for 52,400 points and both FREE shipping and one order was $3.10 through Rakuten. I’m really happy with the deals. Now no more spending

@cath007 my offers have been terrible. I stop saving any of my offers for the last month hoping to get some good one. I also stop shopping with my PCO account and saw for the last 2 weeks my personal offer came down to spent $100/15000 points didn’t get to used last weeks because I was away. I will definitely used it this week . Also my partner got an awesome offer for 1500 points for every Siggi’s yogurt and that’s the kind that we used . I was lucky that an SC member RAOK me a few of the $1.50 coupon which I did not find . I was hoping to trade for some with another SC member not sure what’s going on . I sent my info and waiting for the other party to send me there info but no answer .

I am always PM and looking for the best sales and used what ever coupon I can find that works for my family.

I used to love finding coupons and save for my donation at the food bank. I still donate
