same here @cath007 The diagnosis of Parkinson's that your Dad received was surely a blow to both of you.
Pills seem to really make all the difference so I hope he gets some improvement from the symptoms when taking them.
I will keep both of you in my thoughts and prayers. This year has had many cruel turns for you. (((hugs )))

Cath-my friend was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's at 73. Because it was diagnosed early and the meds are helping her the neurologist said she should have another good 20 years. Wishing your Dad many good years too. She has been attending some programs for patients including dancing which is supposed to really help. Best wishes to your Dad.

Cath my dear brother found out at age 60 he had parkinsons just a few months after his heart attack.

Cath all the coupons i found expire august31/26 except the yop six pack is August 1/26 so nice to see a little bit longer of a date on new coupons .

Well my washer and dryer is not being delivered today ,i sent a tex .I called the number this morning the guy said you have to call to confirm .The email didnt state that ,oh well tuesday is the new delivery day .

Good Morning Everyone,
Grey, Blah, Raining Day here.

Although I said I was going to stay in this weekend when I woke up I thought if it isn't raining I might run to Dollarama, there are a few things I need there but it was pouring and is supposed to keep raining until Mid Afternoon.

There is no lack of things I need to tackle around the house but I think I will start with just a general tidy and go from there.

Now I am trying to talk myself into getting up and getting my day started. It would be the perfect day to curl up on the couch but things need to be done.

yes, this rain has prevented my sis and BIL from doing their daily walk. They both tucked into an extra coffee and chatted on the phone with me,
which I say replaces the benefit of their walking exercise with endorphins we all got from laughing and joking on the phone.

In oddball news I had sent a wedding gift to DH's nephew for their upcoming Sept bash. Their registry was practical, items from CT.
The box arrived at their door, inside was NOT the Ninja blender I ordered BUT it contained pool speakers. lol.
They're getting it fixed.

My new microwave came at 8 p.m. last night and the delivery person was kind enough to lift in right on my front entrance way floor.
Funny though, he snapped a photo before I could jump out of the frame and my delivery confirmation notice picture has me in it! ha ha

Upsetting for me this morning though...I was going to be the first one to use the oven. I placed my mug of cream to warm before I brew
my coffee and after the beep the door refused to open??? I was convinced we had been sent a " lemon ".
I unplugged it, the door released.
Then when DH came down I urged him not to toss the box it came in as we may have to return it. That's when he told me there's a button
you must press that says " unlock door" then after you press that button the push door release opens up. Is this a child proof feature or just
a senior aggravation feature?

Hooray for the weekend even if it's going to be a wet one.

Walkonby its a senior aggravation .I hate my pill bottles that hurt my arthritic fingers to open them ,may have to go to a blister pack one day .First world problems .

@walkonby , one of our microwaves at work has the same feature and the first time I used it I thought it was going to hold my bagel hostage until I found the button. I do not get the point, do people really microwave something but don't want the door to open?

Just put an order into Under Armour hubby needed sandals and a few shirts and one for Sebastian for his birthday in sept.A few clearance items were an extra 20% off.

Such a lazy day ,did maybe one final wash in my old rusty washing machine (yes it is rusting under the lid line .lolGuess i am lucky i got 12 or 13 years out of it.

Supper pasta and turkey meatballs .Yummm

Even if it will take ink and not sure to use it..

Good morning.

Yesterday I stopped into RCSS to grab some of the coffee on sale and they had points. I grabbed a few other items and ended up with $101.03 and $1.03 after points redeemed. Still waiting on the 6000 bonus points I’m owed.

Our neighbour who has been a real jerk since we moved in almost 10 years ago ended up in the hospital. He has a dog that is the female version of my Harley and I’ve always adored her but he never let her really talk to anyone (like I said he’s a jerk). Anyways long story short a few of the neighbour ladies found out he went the the ER and his dog had been left in the apartment for 1.5-2 days! . So they are taking turns having her at their place and since I’m the only one working I’ve offered to take her for walks and to spend the days that I’m off with her. Omg. My heart is breaking. I knew she was a sweetheart but she really is. You can tell she’s a people person and is starved for human interaction. Anyways we did an hour walk first thing in the morning and then a 45 min walk just after noon. When I brought her back she conked out and slept! All that sunshine and fresh air.

I may either take her this evening for a walk if she’s up to it or tomorrow with Dh.

@SassyAshley the mystery has been solved! Our DS actually READ the notice that came with the instruction manual and right there it said this was a child safety feature so a kid wouldn't press the door open and then touch the hot food. O.K. fair enough. Right under that it listed the magic " code " of 3 keys to press in succession to remove this locked out feature. ha ha ha .
One great feature we have noticed is when it is running it is nearly silent! I thought maybe it was my deaf left ear but nope it runs very quiet!

Good Evening Everyone,
As much as I wanted to do nothing today, I knew I needed to get things done.

Kitchen was cleaned, dishwasher loaded, hand dishes done, counters scrubbed.

Then I scrubbed bathroom, cleaned the tub and did the floors. I also put away the bathroom stuff I grabbed this week at Costco (working on not letting things pile up, I am the queen of it is just one bag, then it is two and then three and next thing you know the hallway is becoming narrower).

Since I was doing the Bathroom Floor I also did the stairs.

Since I did the stairs I needed to vacuum the hallway and the since the vacuum was out I also did the kitchen.

I had planed to tidy the pantry (a few things from Costco and from Food Basics) and mop the Kitchen floor. That did not happen, there is always tomorrow.

Dinner was French Onion Pasta Bake with a Cesar Salad.

The Kitchen is clean, dishwasher is running I think it is time to spend some time on Pinterest trying to find some new recipes to try.
