UGH. Now I don't want to go to the mailbox @ walkonby.

I found a bit of motivation and finished something I was putting off lol.

My friend texted me asking to go for lunch so I will pick her up on the way.... Having a toasted Western without the bread and not the yummy French fries that comes with it I will live and be happy tomorrow when I step on the scale Also paying $ when I have tons of eggs here but it is about the social aspect I keep reminding myself!!

Had a pile of coupons on my newly cleaned dresser....I just sorted them and tossed the expired ones and now have them ready to put in my coupon bag in the car. Lots of cheese coupons which is good for my kid- he eats so much cheese!!!

WOB-I think you must have gotten the long form but mine was short. I found it weird that the check boxes for gender were man and woman instead of male and female-that's a first. I was going to put it on my husbands to do pile but then I felt guilty since he was at work and I wasn't-so went ahead and filled it in.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Another fun morning. Our one server has decided it does not want to work today, well it is working but keep freezing and then staff have to be cleared out, lots of fun.

Nothing like logging in at 6 am to try to get caught up only to be kicked off constantly and something that should have taken me 20 minute took an hour and 15 and then I gave up on the next part.

It is a grey overcast day here, I could really use some sunshine, not that I plan to leave my house as I have a ton of work to get done but it would be nice LOL.

I really should go to Costco but I don't know if I feel like it today. I am going to end up going to Costco, this week and next week. This week I want to grab more sausages and we have a few things we are low on. Next week the fan I was eyeing last year hoping it would go on sale is back and going on sale next week.

Then there is tat age old question, what's for dinner? I have no idea. Last night I pulled the Homemade Shells from the Freezer and made Garlic Naan to go with it.

Alright, let's see if I can knock out some of this work.

    Happy Tuesday Everyone.

Passed an abandoned bum camp yesterday. Decided to clear all the piles of trash, before they blew around. Took 2x garbage bags, but turned out to only need one.

As I walked home, I realized that there wasn't any purpose bringing an empty bag home. So, started picking up trash from the field. Lots of scratches from the trees. As the bag filled, I came across re-useable grocery bags. So, I filled them up, too. The more I picked, the more I found. It was snow-balling. I finally gave up after a couple of hours. Always more, tomorrow.

I was you yesterday @walkonby . Luckily I too didn’t murder anyone . That long census was BRUTAL!

Did I read that correctly @lizzie bargain ??? Over $4000 to do childcare for a month! Maybe I need to switch jobs! That’s great for you.

Yesterday wasn’t so frugal unfortunately. I picked up my glasses ( I returned the progressives for single vision) and ended up getting a pair of prescription sunglasses for $250 (saved 50%). Then we had to fill up at 215.9 only to hear it’s supposed to drop today by 7 cents! Unfortunately we needed it so we could get to work .

Anyways I’m off to work now. Have a great day everyone

@harbie do I ever feel your long form Census and gas pump pain!
Yesterday when DH was getting ready for work I asked him if he could get gas as it was going to jump by 9-10 cents overnight.
( making it $1.90 a L on May 6th. ). He said he'd just used the last Petrocan GC to put $10.00 in so the tank was at 3/4, so why bother?
Oh well......by Thursday we'll face the music as he's driving me to an ENT appt. ( of course it's not close by...lol )

Good Morning and Happy Hump day!
A cloudy gray day here to start.

I have the afternoon off so started work a little earlier this morning and already finished something I was putting off! Now to get the next thing done that I don't want to do....but the reward is having the afternoon off. 1st meal of the day will be in the car for the drive so I am thinking I will bring a cold chicken breast, 2 boiled eggs and 1/2 an English cucumber sliced up with salt and pepper...sounds good to me!

Dinner last night was really good. I always think I am not loving the ground turkey but you really can't even notice the difference (to beef) if you cook it more and spice it up. Then once you add avocado etc it all tastes the same!

Coffee now then will wash the few dishes in the sink. Before the dishes I will pop a load of laundry in the washer and then hang to dry this morning before leaving. Then I will feel like it was a productive morning!

    Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Yes Harbie the lady is offering $24 per hour for 45 hrs times 4 weeks so it does come out over 4,000. I enjoy doing these short gigs now and again-I am not tied down and it is money I can spend on travel. Last fall I had a couple of gigs that paid $30 per hour which was great.

I was asked yesterday if I could drive a car from Vancouver to Toronto for $1500 which would be more money in my pocket. I think with my expenses the folks will find it is cheaper to ship it by rail or sell it instead. Anyway time will tell.

I just did the Census survey...I must have gotten the short one since it did not take long at all. S
Sent my sister a text making sure she does hers and my mom's! They should both get them at the same time I would think since they live next door to one another.

I must have gotten the short one, too. Pretty much, all it asked me was the different language(s) I might speak at home.
