    Good day!

The Flash food box with tons of tomatoes/onions/peppers/potatoes/clementines/bananas/mango/cucumbers that I was looking at last night for $5 was $2.50 this morning so I snagged it! I now have a pot of pasta sauce simmering on the stove (requested!!)

I am starving now so will make my oatmeal with apple and raspberries.

We have tons of leftovers in the fridge for dinner. So I am not cooking anything other then the sauce today. (I will be putting some in the freezer for a future meal)

Work- Very productive morning. Ready to tackle anything that comes in but will also get things ready for tomorrow (tons of reports!)

Hi everyone hubby is feeling down ,which in turn is hard .So off to get free gas $25 worth with my giftcard i had gotten .
Then off to a liquidation store as my girlfriend said they have cheaper rugs ,nope closed .

So i decided to go i to a bin store first time .It was 5.00 day of course it was super crowded and hubby was waiting in the car .So i got a huge jug of cranberry juice expires in august and i found a xmas tree bag canvas 5.00 at xmas they are $40-49.00 in the stores so happy with that one then home i came only spending 11.00.

Putting away our winter tops and getting the summer tops out of my tote .It is time !!

I will try to keep this short & sweet. Medical treatments that I must undergo are complicated, not the treatments themselves BUT the location of 1 particular Clinic nowhere near where we live!! DH and his shift work means he cannot get me there and back. Taxi costs one way were quoted at $75.00 ONE way! Transportation services offered from 4 different organizations were also a bust. They have a map and the Clinic is out of the zone.
No cell phones so can't order an UBER, not like they would be any cheaper.

So a MIRACLE happened this morning. That far-away Clinic? turns out that the Hospital just 6 kms away from us also has this same Clinic treatment!
My information was transferred over to the Hospital and I will be set up tomorrow to begin. Then the other place I go to ( a different Hospital ) for injections
is close enough on their map that I can use their Transporation Services.
That frees up DH, he won't have to take me to ANY of these appointments!! The cost is reasonable ( any trip one way $7.50 ) so that is the best frugal part of all of this.

Walkonby so glad this other option worked out for you.

We went to visit hubby's brother and sister-in-law they had burgers on the BBq ,so we stayed for one which was nice.
Then she gave me 2 bags of clothing to go thru ,nice.

@walkonby glad that your second option worked out. Good luck with your treatment

It was a very nice day, so I picked up a re-usable grocery bag on my walk and started picking up garbage.

I came across a take-out container with 2x samosas and another with 8x chicken strips. Both had probably been abandoned by a bum. I didn't know how long they were out there, but they seemed okay. Since both were deep fried, they were probably safe. So, I ate both for lunch.

    @Frugalbigmama :

I would love to see markdown and price drop on my city flashflood fruits boxes.

But this is not the case....

    You scored a good one!!!

On the vine tomatoes at No frills were selling for $4.99LB! At least the ones in my box were ripe and ready to use!

    Happy Wednesday!!

Wet and damp day here. Maybe a good after work drive to the casino to use Bonus day free play, free dinner and fill up the gas tank for cheaper in that area?
    We will see!

Groceries- Finding deals on my low calorie/0 sugar oat/almond milk. I have 6 in the cupboard for back up. Beans are stocked up! We have so many cans and 1 bag.
Thinking I will go to No Frills today and stock up on the Unico Canned tomatoes (to make pasta sauce) (boys like their pasta so it is a good winter meal!) As I said above the prices of tomatoes are crazy- I don't recall ever seeing the price so high.

    Have a wonderful day!

@Frugalbigmama I am envious of your Flashfood deals. I rarely find anything worth my time and produce is not a risk I would take as it’s typically so far gone it’s not worth the time.
I totally scored today when I went to SDM to take advantage of the egg offer, this location often has decent mark downs on the shelf so I tend to wander. I found the large bottles of International Delight cream on clearance for 1.00. I suspect because they are changing the packaging. I picked up 4 and they all have best before dates of mid July. But what made the deal so amazing was I had 1.00 off coupons so they were free. That is such a rare occurrence now.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

I only get the produce box from my local RCSS- the other stores they do not look nice at all. Even the produce on the shelf for full price looks terrible at the one NO FRILLS in my area.
