Good Evening Everyone,
I found some ambition, not a lot but some.
Decided to do a random load of laundry, I should go back to being remote this week but I also wasn't supposed to be on-site all of last week and I was o just in case washed the essentials (socks, underwear).
Also sorted my potatoes and onions, since I haven't been cooking in my normal manner we did have so waste so I took that out.
Also took out the kitchen garbage.
I was going to do Enchilada Bake for dinner but I only have 3 whole wheat tortillas and I need 5 to 6 and we do not like white tortillas for Enchiladas. Found some Tortellini, it was a little freezer burnt but threw it in a pan with some Alfredo Sauce, Cooked Chicken and Heavy Whipping Cream basked for 45 minutes then topped with cheese and baked another 15 minutes and dinner was served.
It is not a lot but it is something.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good Morning and Happy Monday! I feel like I really did relax/enjoy having the few extra days off after the holiday. Didn't really get anything done around the house but did make sure to get out and enjoy the sunshine and did go swimming in Georgian Bay!
I see sunshine and a blue sky! Started work early this morning so will take a break after my coffee and go for a walk at the lake- I am on a mission to get 10,000+ steps in everyday this week.
The broccoli slaw with dinner last night was a nice change. I will have it again tonight with the leftover chicken. (and probably tomorrow nights dinner too! since I cooked lots of chicken last night) Going away for the night with my sister on Wednesday so then I will enjoy my meal out (and try not to get chicken!!)
Will make the mushrooms to go with it for tonight (didn't end up making them last night- was a little bit lazy)
Minimal shopping done but we have all the things needed to continue healthy eating this week. I did buy 5 containers of steel oats as they were on sale. so have 8 containers at the moment...don't want to go crazy but also want to keep a good supply! I should try and have eggs one day this week to mix it up.....but not sure I can stomach them yet
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Yesterday day had a zoom call ,yes on a sunday at 7.00a.m with my cardiologist(yes i have one now). The results of my heart monitor everything seems to be okay except my resting heart rate ,he is not concerned and he will see me next year .This gives me peace of mind ,since my younger brother had the massive heart attack at 60 .
Doing a bit of house work today as my girlfriend is coming for lunch on tuesday.

Did my 30 min walk around the lake....It's going to be another hot day! The SPF face cream was melting lol thank gosh I didn't have make up on or it would have felt worse.
Had my oatmeal (it was so good or I was just very hungry!) I think my plan today is to dry the one load of laundry I washed this morning (towels)
Work, take an afternoon break and probably go for another walk at another body of water. I will bring a snack with me to eat on the way (probably cucumbers and hummus and a meat stick since the hummus needs to be used up)
Stopped at the mailbox and finally received the Chapman's coupon. DS still has 4 things of ice cream in the freezer so I guess I will hold off on redeeming it for awhile.Last edited by Frugalbigmama; Mon, Jul 6th, 2026 at 02:03 PM.

Nice for you ladies to take advantage of the weather to be out and about. ( Frugalbigmama with your daily walks and coupon girl chatting over a
coffee or two with a friend, plus helping with the lawn care!
I had my Endodontic route canal this morning. Went very well probably because I was breathing in nitrous oxide. ha ha
Just have to visit my regular dentist ( Wednesday ) to get the crown repaired.
The frugal day is off to a decent start because all I want to do now is sleep. No money spent in my dreams.

Got another 6x pounds of red peppers for $3
Walked across, literally, a KitKat bar in Walmart's parking lot. It was a bit mushed up, but still delicious.

Morning! Looks like another hot hot day.
Was thinking about going kayaking afterwork....I guess will just have to see how the heat is.
Will be going for a good walk soon this morning since it is already heating up but I need to get out and will pick the lake path that has some shade in spots for relief. I will also carry my water bottle!
Stay cool and enjoy the day!
Our fridge is pretty empty but we have what we need for our meals this week....I take it as a good thing! When you eat simple you need simple ingredients!

I know coupons are impossible to find so if anyone wants some Maple leaf ones let me know. My Sobeys had loads of them and I will never use them. I picked up 7 and will happily split into 2 groups.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
