Yes possible... this sugar shack is the one of Martin Picard (from the restaurant in Montreal with the same name: Au pied de cochon)...

Does it was Au pied de cochon sugar shack? Anyway for me all those place are too pricey and too much for "flashy people"

PS: ok I did a google search, this is probably that sugar shack because this is exactly the price I saw if you click on "menu" and this is "taxes & pourboires non-compris"
    Lol!

I went once to a sugar shack not long after coming to Montreal. We went as a group from my university's French class. It was exactly as some of you depicted above: low quality food, fast-food resto type, get in, get out, some lame music. I was left wondering why people like going year after year LOL.

Martin Picard has made quite the business out of it though. Just yesterday I was leafing through his sugar shack "book" at Renaud Bray. Book costs a fortune too To me, while his stuff is certainly edible (I mean, how would it not, with all the fat and yum stuff he puts into his recipes LOL), it's like a heart attack on a plate! I can't imagine the arteries of those people who go to Pied du cochon on a regular basis!

I remember when Anthony Bourdain shot an episode at that restaurant. I'd never seen him like that before, ready to pass out! They gave him like 11 plates of food all centered around foie gras and then a whole pig He was in a lot of pain!

Man, what type of sugar shacks do you guys go to? LOL

The one in Rigaud is owned by a guy who looks like Santa Claus, the music is really good old fashioned Quebecois fiddle music and the cost is $27 per person, kids eat free.

La Goudrelle is about $16 a person but kids are not free and when you have one as small as Kiera $10 or whatever is was is a total rip off

There is a .75 cent Almond Fresh coupon on Websaver, if anyone is not going to use it I would appreciate it if you could order it for me and maybe I can pick it up at the next meetup.

ok, have you guys seen the Scrubbing Bubbles extend-a-clean automatic trigger or refills anywhere for less than $6? I really want them since they do a good job at cleaning the shower and I have the $5 coupons.

I really can't justify spending $9 (less the coupon) on this.
