International symposium was hosted by the CRCAH as one of the main activities of the Social determinants of Health Program for 2007. It was convened by our partner organisation Flinders University and led by Professor Fran Baum as one of the twenty Commissioners on the World Health Organisation-endorsed Commission on Social Determinants of Health (CSDH). A series of case studies on the social determinants of health from around the world were used as the basis for the meeting, including five Australian case studies.
