I am wanting to get an ipad and am not sure if I should get the 2nd or 3rd one? I realize the screen resolution is way better on the 3rd one but I for any of you who have upgraded do think it was worth upgrading? How much smoother does it run? Thanks!

I have the first model but use the second release at work. The boyfriend got the third release on the day it launched. Personally I don't see a lot of difference for the price difference but he loves it (he had experience with one and two and he loves the screen res). So I guess I'm saying it depends what you want to use it for. He's into photography, gaming, etc so it made sense for him. I just read newspapers, etc so I'm happy with the model I have. Oh the other thing he found was that he was getting better wireless signal in some areas that he reg used his iPad before. If you have specific question let me know and I can ask him.

I have had experience with all 3 generations. I personally think the screen on the new iPad is stunning and it's worth the extra $100. Besides, you are also getting better graphics performance and a better camera.
You may not need these features now, but they will also increase your resale value in the future.

Does he find that it actually runs smoother? Is there curtain things that the new one can run that the old one can't? Does he think it was worth the upgrade/ extra hundred dollars? What case is he using and does the magnet work fine?
The main reason I'm interested in the new one is because it is quad core for gaming. And I figured that would be better for movies and such.

For 100 bucks difference between the 2 ( 16 gb ) models of the ipad 2 and ipad 3 , you might as well go for the ipad 3. But if the difference is more than 100 bucks i.e for the higher models it might not be worth it.
You must have already seen the comparision here between the 2.

I have ipad 2 ( got it thru some aeroplan miles for free ) , but I have no intention of upgrading it to ipad 3 , as its not worth it.
But if had no ipad to begin with and was going for one as a first time buyer and the difference was only 100 bucks , I would go for Ipad 3 as opposed to Ipad 2.

3rd generation has better performance, better processor ( faster), better camera. Nothing else. If you are into games of course it is a better choice.
It makes sense to me to spend a $100 extra for this model because Apple products have shown to reduce performance through time.
After a year or two they become slower and it is very annoying to close apps every time you use them.

Did you buy it already? If yes, how is it? Do you enjoy it? Are you satisfied with it?

I'm thinking that there will be an update for the iPod touch this year, there wasn't last year, unless you count the option of having a white or black iPod. September is most likely for the next update, if it gets one. I would buy now rather than wait until next month.

I think you should go with Ipad 3, Because 3D generation is good according to other facilities...

I heard that the 3rd one is better, which is pretty normal. They might have solved issues, added new features, and so on. I would say the 3rd one.
