We post our brags and they are amazing.
Is there something special you are saving for?
I'm curious.
Most people know about my couch, TV, and fridge.
My recent savings just allowed me to buy a new washer/dryer and stainless steel dishwasher. Delivery on Tuesday!!!!This thread is currently associated with: N/A

I save money to build up a bit so I can make RESP/RRSP contributions and lump sum mortgage payments. I am so fun.

We bought an older home earlier this year, so my savings got my son's bedroom redone - paint, flooring, trim, baseboards, fan/light and some other minor repairs the place needed.
Now my savings go to getting DH's office redone - brand new window, plus all of the above. Up next before winter comes - two brand new doors for the house, front and back.

I use my savings on bills, and on a meal out once in a while with DH...SC is such a big part of my life that I just save BECAUSE I CAN...lol..and I am grateful for that.

Last year I put a down payment on a condo. There was an alternative down payment plan for people who live in my apartment building (because it's the same developer). So I just paid $500 at signing and pay $1,000 every 60 days until the first 10% is down.
So I've been saving money to pay my $1,000 every other month (on top of rent and all my bills)... and I want to pay off my OSAP completely before the condo is build and I have a mortgage.I'm always open to trading for pet product coupons (especially free products and high value coupons) - I donate these items to shelters and rescue groups. My motivation - My Dog. Cool! Nice work! I am saving... for my savings. Hmmm? Just watching my savings account grow... and then my tax-free savings account too! LOL Within the next 2 years I want to buy a car and/or house. I thought that once I had a child, my savings would dwindle or not be added too. Not the case and I am happy and thankful!

Hmm...I don't know about my parents, but I'm just saving money 'cause I like buying STUFF. Lol. I'm mainly saving money to get early Christmas gifts. I already got some arm warmers as a SMALL part of the gift we're (friend) sending to our bestfriends that moved 3 hours away, and I've got a foot massager as part of my parents' gifts tucked in my closet :D
Oh! And the feeling of having money in your piggy bank...well in my case makes you feel happy and not "poor" LOL. I often get treats for my friend to eat as a surprise and I always have things on my mind that I would like to have. So yep , Money would be helpful in those casesLast edited by Lynnie; Sat, Sep 19th, 2009 at 12:40 AM.
I Love you; not for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you.
