Went to SDM tonight to get Estee Lauder eye cream and mascara -- running low on both, so had to take advantage of the 20X points. The cashier advised me that Estee Lauder has a points offer in addition to the 20X points! I spent $85, plus $11.05 in taxes. I received just over 30,000 points (I used my Optimum credit card too to get points). During the mega bonus redemption in December, those 30,000 points will be worth $80! I realized this on my drive home from SDM and have been kicking myself ever since. Why didn't I buy $400 of Estee Lauder tonight during these two promotions?! At mega redemption I'd be able to get $400 of products free. And as if it couldn't get better, the service was extremely slooow at the store -- only one person working in the Beauty Boutique. She gave me a 7 mL size of the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, because I had to wait so long for service. I use this product, so definitely a valuable freebie for me.
Edit: Just realized I could have done better -- should have bought a gc on my Optimum credit card first (to earn points), then paid for the products with the gc.This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug MartLast edited by kristeven; Thu, May 10th, 2012 at 10:17 PM.

Good job! Always nice when you score as much as you spend.
Just joined Kiva.org, an organization that funds micro-loans to people in developing countries. I love the idea that the $25 I saved in groceries can be given to a fish woman with 5 children in the Philippines to help grow her business.
