To all you Smart Canuck Moms, its Mother’s Day greetings I’m sending,
I hope your house is filled with helping hands willing for the lending,
I’ve been a Mom for 27 years & wonder how it went by so fast,
I’m reflecting on how the day to day stuff become memories from the past,
The cards they made, the cups of tea & breakfast served on a tray,
Coming down to the kitchen to be welcomed by a floral bouquet,
The little things your kids do for you remind you motherhood is a perk!
In spite of all the times beyond frustration & you were going berserk,
Many of us have lost our own Mom’s & reflect on all they gave,
& now know they were on the money when they told us to behave,
If you’re a new Mom I can tell you that it is a pretty good gig indeed,
& just let your kids really believe that you’re not quite up to speed,
Once you’ve become a Mom your intuition switch is stuck in the “on” mode,
But all us Moms know the travels of motherhood is a most rewarding road,
Happy Mother’s Day ladies enjoy your day, time for a motherly review,
& any offspring who’ve forgotten what today is, that’s a major shame on you!
