How can people be such boneheads??? Apparently, they had spent part of the day at Woofstock too.


Two people have been arrested after a dog died earlier Sunday when it was locked in a car in the parking lot of Vaughan Mills Mall.


York Regional Police said they got a call about a dog locked inside a vehicle in the parking lot of the popular mall just north of the city at around 2:15 p.m.
Police and fire crews attempted to rescue the dog -- a young chocolate labarador retriever -- but it was too late.

When police arrived on the scene the temperature was 28 Celsius.
Two people in their twenties have been arrested by police in connection with the incident and may face animal cruelty charges.
They may also be charged under the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.Under the act they could face fines up to $60,000 and up to two years in jail. They may also be banned from ever owning pets.

talk about total doorknobs. couldn't figure out why anyone would take their animal to a shopping mall & leave them in the car to begin with, now i know they went to woofstock first. still you'd think that they would have taken puppy home 1st before the mall or at least had 1 of them stay with the dog & walk around the parking lot till the other returned. i hope they are banned from ever owning another animal & are fined the max. they must be living in a vacuum not to have heard the warnings about leaving animals & children in cars when it's HOT out.
