I feel like I am in a roller coaster relationship with SDM.
Just a few hours earlier I was reading sharkie's post about them taking points back if your coupons brought you below the $50 spend... and now this...
It's like a complicated teenaged relationship.Add me on twitter and I'll add you back! Just mention you are from SC!

Please tell this to Walmart. I tried to use a kitty litter FPC the other day (darn it I wish I waited I didn't know SDM would allow me!!!) and had a full out argument about how tax is included otherwise ... ITS NOT FREE! And I told them read the back of the coupon, does it say anywhere that tax is not included? No, well then take the tax off! She had to call the manager and I had to then argue with her and oi yoi yoi! Eventually I got the tax taken off.
I will be printing this off their website and bringing it with me this weekend. I will think twice when trading FPC's I can't use if this policy is to be correct.Insert Clever Signature Here

I wonder if this will be in effect on their cash registers right away? I'm curious to know how the 2002 code would work if FPCs shouldn't have tax yet SDM is willing to let them count towards the total? (Meaning, I'm assuming, we'll get points for the FPCs?)

well they get reimbursed from the manufacturer. so they aren't exactly giving us a donation out of the kindness of their corporate hearts
the tax law is just a provincial law issue. it's a matter of legality. In 2020 I had 100 FREE Grocery pickups! Subscribe to PC Optimum Insiders & get 25,000 PC Optimum pts

About time they got their act together.......I told them me before that coupons should count as cash since they get paid for them....Let's just wait and see though if they actually stick to their own new policy....I am even going to try now and see if I can get my points back...thanks for posting

I think it's great that the FPC's count towards the promotion but will we get Optimum points for them.....I will have to ask my manager and find out. I don't want to waste my FPC's if I won't get the points.

I am more confused now. I checked Shopper's FB page, under the Tab Coupon FAQ and this is what is written *among other things* (updated June 14th): https://www.facebook.com/shoppersdru...08364015870141
"customer would need to spend $50 to receive 20x the Shoppers Optimum Points, if a coupon was used, the value of the coupon would be deducted and does not count toward the promotion total.) For all instances, customers should be issued a receipt for the transaction"
EDIT: nevermind -- that was from June 14, 2011Last edited by MrsMer; Wed, Jun 13th, 2012 at 09:43 AM.
