The North Face has excellent jackets, Columbia Sportswear, Oakley Formula wear are all great- I personally have a North Face and Columbia jackets have had for years and I'm always dry and toasty.

Hmmn havent heard of that one, if its rated well I think your safe to assume that it will be warm.
I had a wonderful west coast coat when i was a teen it was great, but 300 dollars and now I buy fashion ones that fall apart instead.

I have a down coat that I've had for a gazillion years.
It cost quite a bit at the time, but it was worth every penny!

Honestly sears carries some great down filled coats. I think I have three different ones...a bomber style, knee length and ankle length...they are warm, and good quality. Many times you can find them onsale for cheap on the outlet site.
