Thread: Dallas again anyone?
-

I used to watch Dallas years ago with my mom - popcorn, Dallas and then Falcon Crest was our routine. I think I am going to check out the new Dallas tonight (it's on Bravo at 9:00). Not sure this version is going to be tame enough to be able to watch with my oldest daughter (if not that's a shame) though.

I loved Dallas, and Falcon Crest, too!
I'll give the new show a try - however, I have a feeling it's going to turn into one of those "20-something" shows and be hokey...

That's what I'm afraid of too, but I'll try.

Dallas is one of those shows I think would best be left down memory lane. It was fun back then with the whole "Who shot J.R.?" thing, but I'm not sure today's audience would buy Bobby waking up from a dream and hitting the reset button on an entire season.

Wasn't too bad. Better than a lot of crap on tv these days. I'll watch again next week.
I have a feeling this might end up cancelled though - awful big gap in time between the original series and now. Probably the vast majority of folk younger than me never even heard of it.

I loved it - I'm hooked! I like how they spun so many webs (like the old days) and fit the new faces in so easily. I'm betting on it lasting though, there IS an audience out there who is tired of the reality stuff and looking for the old fashion drama shows again.

Check out the interview here with Patrick Duffy and Larry Hagman before last night's show.

Man, Patrick Duffy is good in interviews! Very at ease. Larry Hagman is really showing his age though. God bless him and all, he has to have courage to take on something like this at 80 years of age,

I saw all the main characters - old and new - interviewed on The Talk yesterday.
Interesting that two of the new ones were on Housewives..
I watched the first and am halfway through the second - I think I'll stick with it; they have some good storylines started.

yep! I do like it! I hope they have a long run too. The reality stuff I have never wasted time on, but I like this. How is it that Patrick Duffy is STILL easy on the eyes??!

I'm watching, I'm interested enough in the story line to give it another week at least.
Add me on twitter and I'll add you back! Just mention you are from SC!

I watched again and will again next week. I find the writing style just like it used to be, I think that's what I like the most.
