I give a lot to my family and friends. I also make a lot of baskets for birthdays, mother's day, etc. Cheaper than buying a present LOL.

Here is mine, not everything has its place yet but it is a work in progress and eventually it will find its way into one spot

Sorry for the crappy pics, camera sucks and there is no lights downstairs but you get the point

I love looking at these pictures. Everything is nicely in a row and so organized, like a store.

Love love LOVE everyone's pics Soooooo any advice on how to create a good stockpile? Do you just stock up on stuff when they are on an awesome sale or is it better to be like "this month I'm going to concentrate on dishwashing supplies, next month laundry..."??? Unfortunately I live in a small town and for me to go to a Walmart or Superstore is a 30 minute drive...and I don't get out of town as often as I used to because I have a 5 month old...... but I'd really like to build up my stockpile before winter because we'll be trying for #2 then!

I stopped "stocking up" about 6 months ago. I only get stuff when I can get it for under a dollar or free. If I only have 1 or 2 coupons, that is all I buy.

My stockpile took my whole maternity leave to do - with a newborn in tow I only did what I could afford, needless to say I don't think I paid more than $300 for everything in my stockpile and the majority of it did not come from stacking

    Watched for sales and clearances

MeShell, I only stockpile what is on sale, that I can get cheap or free, and that I know we WILL use... Now I know I don't like Min maid juices, but I have 2 kids who have friends sleep over ALLLL the time. Those juices will be gone in no time.
I follow the sales patterns. I count on the CZ Kelloggs coupon coming out every 12 weeks or less, and will buy enough for 4 people for 12 weeks at $1/box, BUT I make acceptions if I can get an awsome coupon/deal on the box (last year I stocked 45 $3 fiber cereals because it had free $5 frozen yogurt, this week I'll stock more Kelloggs with FPC's on the box). I also watch out for manager specials when I go to the larger cities. Who needs 40 hamberger helpers, unless it's $1.67, and $2 for 2lb hamberger, AND you have $3 meat coupons? $.67 for 1 box and 2lbs of beef, that's what I bought the second freezer for.
Don't limit your stockpile to just what you can buy. I make my own jam, jelly, apple sauce (which then gets dehydrated into fruit leather), pickles and beets, and I have a separate wall to store that stuff. I get all my apples (the neighbors don't pick from their trees), berries, crab apples, stuff from the garden FREE, it all adds to my stockpile in some way. I pick up pectin, sugar, jars and seals anytime I can get them for a steal of a deal.
