We are so lucky to live in a magnificent country like Canada. We should never take it for granted. We should always cast our ballot by voting & teach share our history with our children........ Did you ever realize that you are living history?

my boss is off today and the "big" boss came in wearing shorts, flip flops & a very casual dress shirt.... doesn't look like he'll be here very long.... Hopefully my long week-end will start early this afternoon!!!

Shilo
Shilo is a true Heinz 57 as well as a true companion. She is very approachable, affectionate and endears herself to all people. She loves people so much she doesn't ever want to be left alone. She will happily jump in the car and would offer to drive, if she could! She'll sit on the couch, but leave you space when asked - whatever it takes to just hang out with her best friend.

There is no denying the fact that she has separation anxiety; this might be why she never leaves behind her stuffy, but carries it with her when she goes out on walks. Unfortunately the thought of her being alone makes her very nervous. Maybe this is because she was left behind twice already and she can't bear to be left behind again.

And maybe having epilepsy has made her uneasy. Her seizures are under control with twice-daily medications. Because of her special needs, she will need to go the vet more frequently than the average pet. (Regular blood tests help ensure that her medications are in balance, and keep her healthy).

It is true, Shilo is not a convenient pet to bring into your life. She will need time and patience to work with her anxiety issues. She will need you to make sure she gets her medication regularly and she needs you to be best friends with your veterinarian. But most importantly, she needs you.

She has been in THS care for over 160 days. And no one who has helped care for her has a bad thing to say about her. Always a darling, unfortunately she is a staff and volunteer favourite. And we are looking to you to help find her forever home. Tell your friends and family: Shilo is looking for a place called home.

Please note: Because we all love her so much, we have put together a care package for Shilo - her new guardians will be sent home with a crate, heated bed, extra food (and treats!), dish set, toys and a 3-month supply of medication.
