so here is a funny kinda rant. I am a member of a local gym in the city. It blows me away sometimes what I see. Now keep in mind I have been going for over a year now and see this almost everytime I am there. SOOOO.... I am 6ft 215lbs very average height and weight. I don't stand out in a crowd nor do I want to. My rant is for some odd reason there are alot and I mean alot of guys that are shorter and taller than myself. also they are bigger than me in weight and size. anyways they seem to wear very small clothes. Example today was a guy who was around 5ft 9 around 220 (kinda chubby)(had man boobs)
and the shirt he was wearing had to be a medium!!!
waaayyyy to small he looked ridiculous. Looking around today and I counted about 12-15 guys that their shirts were way to small for them. some guys were muscular and their arms were stretching the material to the brink. One guy commented to his friend about it and he just laughed saying wearing smaller clothes makes his chest and body look bigger. Personally I think they all look ed. I guess the material stretched on his arms made them look bigger. There were also guys walking around looking so cocky it was kinda funny. I know it's a gym and the testosterone is high but comeon guys wear clothes that fit!!!! you look ed!!! sorry had to get it off my chest

People at the gym are definitely interesting to watch!
Waiting in line at Mark's Work Warehouse yesterday, I was very surprised by the underwear sizes the men were getting for their free pairs. My dad, brother, and husband have always worn XL, and while they're all 6'0 or over, I wouldn't say that they're particularly heavyset men. These guys looked like they were about the same size (and some were heavier), and yet they were asking for smalls and mediums in the free underwear! A work crew of about five guys in safety vests came in, and I would have assumed that all would be choosing L or XL! All S or M! The free underwear looks like it would be tight-fitting anyway, so I can't see why a person would want a smaller size! (And wouldn't these guys want to avoid being seen by their buddies as "small" down there, since they had to announce their size?)

Ah vanity. Some dudes just think it makes them look more muscular. But most women I know think it just makes them look stupid

You'd think a person would dress for comfort, particularly when they are exercising. To each their own, I guess.
I was at the grocery store yesterday and a heavy set lady was walking in front of me with sparkly leggings on and I could just about make out every dimple. I wish I could have un-seen that.

i read this thread at a baby shower, and i so wanted to laugh out loud. I find I see this more in real life than at the gym. Sometimes it's like a train wreck and you can't help but stare. Sometimes I am baffled people don't mind their guts hanging out the bottom of their shirt or their bum cheek or crack hanging out of their shorts. I like to keep it covered, but to each their own I suppose!

I sometimes wonder if people have mirrors in thier houses - and if they do they def. don't use them.
Gym clothes are all about comfort for me - but I can picture the type of guys your are decscribing. My fav is the guy who goes to the gym as a social excercise - never once touching the equipment just talking to all the dudes he knows who are working out. lol makes me laugh.

I didn't read it like that. I read it as people who wear ill-fitting clothes.
Leggings can be very flatttering when they are the correct size but incredibly unflattering when they are far too tight and the seams are gaping.
Looking good requires a person to be as aware of their faults as they are about thier good features. Play up the latter and down play the former. I'm 5 ft and weigh a lot. Leggings do not look good on me. Neither do Empire Line dresses.Which is a shame as I love the look of the Empire Line.So I choose a more flattering, to me, style and lament how bad I look in clothes I want to wear.
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

The fashion that I think looks sooo bad is when women wear tight low cut pants/shorts with tummy fat hanging over the pants/shorts with a tight top to finish the look. The only women that can pull off this look are super thin with zip body fat.
I just want to (but I do not) tell them "sweetie you are so cute but that is not the best look for you".
Yes, I have body fat & try as I might this kind of outfit will just not work for me.

At the gym people wear form fitting clothes, or work out clothes that are tighter to the body. Poking fun isn't cool. The op also repeatedly used the derogatory word for people with mental disabilities quite a few times thats why you just see "ed" over and over again.

sorry if some of you read too much into my post. it was not meant to be rude or derogatory in any way. Sally 888 thank you for pointing that out to me. i did not know that happened when you used that word. Maybe another word would have been a better choice but come on seriously? Seems like you cannot post a rant without offending someone in some form or matter. People, it's just an opinion thats all don't take things so personally. For this reason I will probrably not post anymore rants. What can ya do eh?????
