I started a thread on Walmart Coupon Policy some months ago:

***This coupon policy is THE SAME in Canadian shops.***

    On Walmart.com website :

    Wal-Mart Coupon Policy

Wal-Mart accepts the following types of coupons (see guidelines below):

    • Manufacturer coupons (Cents Off)
    • Free merchandise (or Buy-One-Get-One-Free) coupons
    • Store coupons
    • Pharmacy (Advertising and Promotional) coupons
    • Internet coupons
    • Soft drink container caps

The following are guidelines and limits:

    • Wal-Mart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at the time of purchase.
    • Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented within the valid dates. Wal-Mart will not accept expired coupons.
    • Internet coupons should be legible and say "Manufacturer Coupon." There should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and a scannable bar code.
    • Only one coupon per item is permitted.
    • Use of 40 or more coupons per transaction will require approval by Customer Service Manager.
    • Source : http://walmartstores.com/7655.aspx

    ***UPDATE :
I talked to Wal-Mart Customer Service in
Canada today and it's the same policy for Canadian shops. They told me that if I have trouble with any kind of those coupons, I have to ask for management and it should be alright. You can always bring the coupon policy printed directly on Walmart website just in case.

Thanks for posting the coupon policy... I was not able to convince the cashier that I wasn't supposed to have to pay the tax on the Tylenol... I know there have been posts here about the tax rules/laws... I knew the coupon was supposed to include the tax, but I didn't feel like arguing with her, so I just paid it.

I thought you did have to pay the tax unless it is actually a FPC. I think I paid the tax on it today as well! ???

Someone mentioned above that tax is included in the face value of the coupon?... anyways... I still paid it!

Hmm... maybe that means you can use the coupon, the extra two cents go towards the tax, then you pay the rest of the tax...

    I get it now!

Yeah I take it as meaning the coupon was $3, the tylenol was 2.97. So they were trying to tell me they would not take the coupon. But the coupon says the face value of the coupon can include taxes. Which means that they take the full $3 off and the 3cents goes towards the tax.

Yes indeed they do! When the cashier went to customer service to verify it, the lady she asked was giddy "yes, I use those coupons myself!" I got one bottle of 20 count Rapid Release Tylenol - only because my printer ran out of ink.

The Walmart at Lougheed Mall doesn't accept the $2 off coupon. I don't think they will accept this either.
