I used to give my best friend my "no longer wanted" shoes for her 9yr old daughter, but now at 11, she's outgrown my size, and can wear her mother's. (ladies 9) Not to mention that I think she's now taller than me too... sucks being short!

"A package for my buddy and her sweet little girl.
I'm not good at rhyming, but I will give it a whirl.

I know you like snacks and chocolate is your fave
So I put a crap load in here, I hope you behave!!

J is for toothbrush....well kind of but not really
But that's what you asked for, so I don't feel to silly! (I know that doesn't rhyme LOL)

U is for chocolate, the kind that is unique
And also some tissues for when your nose starts to leak!

L is for glow sticks for when it gets dark
You can wait till the suns gone and run around in the park!

E is for gobstoppers, a wonderful candy!
I got you three boxes, I hope that is just dandy!

S is for stickers, I hope they're just right
My daughter kept taking them, it was almost a fight!

I is for tape and of course some more chocolate
I keep thinking of FRIENDS when Monica at mockolate (LOL)

E is back and I know you like Abby
I found this magic wand and I thought "that's not too shabby"
Boots is here too, to tell his own story
Dora can take a back seat, she always gets the glory!

P is for playmobile people and sets
I know I picked a great one, I won't take any bets!

E is for crafts to play with your kid
You asked for some envelopes so that's just what I did!
You said she likes cookies and crackers alot
So her favourite kinds are in the boxes I got!

I hope you liked your package and the extras I chose
Your list was a good one, you kept me on my toes (I know that doesnt rhyme)

There are things that I wanted to get that I just couldnt find
But made up for it in chocolate...I didnt think you would mind!"

Ok Ladies, I have a question (for those of you that has kids or babysits). What is the going rate for a babysitter?

I have been asked to watch my neighbours kids (the ones that I already watch in the mornings, ages 3.5 yrs - not potty trained & 6yrs) now in the evenings during the week as well. From 3pm until our husbands (who work together) get home, which is anywhere from 5pm to 10pm (though it is usually 7 or 8pm). I would be watching them at my house and would be required to cook them a meal (using my food).

Mylocal teenagers charge $10-$12...and yet the walk in daycare near my house is only 8.....go figure

LOVE the packages.... we did a great job this time ladies!!! I wanted to share the diaper cake that I made(with help from my mom) for my little sisters baby shower. I have never made one before.... I am not waht you would call "crafty"

DD and DS are in the same size of shoes, diapers and even clothes. However, DD is almost 4 and DS is only 15 months! He had his check up today and he's in the 99th percentile for both Height and Weight, meanwhile DD is small for her age. Go figure! lol

mine are the same way. My newest is off the charts and my first is only in the 40th percentile. Pretty sure my oldest will be getting his little brothers hand me downs pretty soon hahaha

I have sent Pumpkin some ideas on how to possibly continue hosting these types of trains.

Right now my feelings are hurt, I feel sad with how I was treated (not by anyone in this thread!)and I am sorry but I just can't do this right now...sorry

Jezebel........if you were treated poorly by a few bad apples, I don't see a need for you to be sorry to the rest of us. I am sure that we all understand and we are gonna miss you!!! you did an awesome job of overseeing the package trains!! You need to take all the time that you need to deal with the hurt feelings and sadness for you to start feeling better.

hey all Ive come across a sale on smartfood popcorn which I am absolutley addicted to! does ANYONE on the package train have those $2 wub 2 peelies? Im desperate! I usually pay up to $4 a bag and this coupon can get it for .98 a bag!! thats amazing!! I need this!

Nat - I'm glad you enjoyed your pkg! it was mucho fun to shop for. My husband went home this morning to check for mail - my pkg wasnt there yet, i expect it will be around when we return early next week!

sorry this is a bit late all but here is the recipe that i sent to slambert in her package

Reese's Slice

mix in bowl:

1 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup melted margarine
2 cups graham crumbs
1 3/4 cups icing sugar

press above mixture into a 9 X 13 pan

melt 2 cups chocolate chips in microwave @ 50% (medium) with 2 tbsp lard (tenderflake).

spread over peanut butter mixture when melted.

chill slightly to help set chocolate. chocolate will crack if it is too cold when trying to cut it.
