Sigh ....
So a week ago the boyfriend got some meds at the Pharmaprix near his work. He gave me the receipt so I could send it to my insurance.
I noticed a few days later on our credit card charges online that he payed about $15 more on the credit card then the meds I had a receipt for. I figured he probably bought something, snacks, or who knows what. But I forgot to ask him what it was.
Today I found the receipt while cleaning up .... Rasoir Mach3 ... $12.99
Really?!?!!??!? He bought a $13 +tax razor!!!
I have about 10 Gilette Fusions that I got free in un-opened packages.
I let a dozen coupons for razors expire because as far as I knew he didn't need any razors.
He has his freaken electric razor.
And he goes and buys a razor at freaken Pharmaprix ... and a small one in an office building Pharmaprix, so I'm guessing it was super over-priced!
Ahhhh... I love this man, but it's always the same thing.
I ask him if he would like Doritos or Tostitos because they are on special ... he says he wants some other brand which are three times more expensive.
Thanks ... had to rant. This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug Mart

Mine did the same thing last year with deodorant. I was so mad that now, before he buys anything regarding home supply, he makes sure to talk to me before

mine ask me if we have or if I could plan to buy it in a future (this would said a month)... so no problem like that here.
He don't want to buy something/anything, he know I would have it for so cheap.Liberty of one finish where liberty of the other one start

Not too much problem with mine... He does put limits to sometimes, for e.g. he'll get ONE (not 2 or 3) bag of chips he want even at full price if that's what he craves. However, he'll usually eats what I've stocked up (on sale and/or coupon), and understand the value of buying on sale. When a box of Pattes d'Ours is 1.66-2.00$ on sale & 3.49$ (not sure?) regular, it's easy to do the math.
For toiletry item, unless it is an "emergency", he'll request that I plan to buy item X because he saw an ad, in the store, ran out, ... and expect to get it within a few weeks (such are sales cycle).
He never goes to stores by himself (besides shopping for my gift or picking-up something I asked), I do all the home shopping. There is at east one bright side to that!

Finally brought up the razor purchase with the boyfriend. (We work different schedules, so we rarely see each other, or usually one of us is sleeping while the other one is trying to have a conversation).
Anyways, the boyfriend said he went to the office that day unshaved, and his manager advised him that one of the big bosses was in town from head office, and to clean himself up. So he ran to the Pharmaprix in his office building and got his meds and picked up a razor so he could shave in the washroom before going back to the office.
Of course I had to ask why he didn't get a cheapo disposable razor, his response ... "I wanted something good so I wouldn't cut myself. I was using only water, no shaving cream."

Case in point....
I asked J to pick up a sample pack of latex gloves so my finger can stay dry while it heals. He buys a 40 pack of nitrile gloves (which are usually more expensive)..... I'm not allergic to latex
