I taught my Dad to coupon!

Dad learned about SCOP before I did, but he wasn't using coupons until... NESTEA was FREE!
I showed my parents, on skype, how many cases I had picked up, all free, and showed them where to find the coupon. I thought, "yay, even if they only find a couple for the family reunion."
I saw on facebook tonight Dad has 50 cases of green and diet green icetea! It seems some areas of NS just got the cases with the coupons last week, and so Dad is becoming a bit of a couponer

Sometimes, with men, it just takes that one time with that one product they really like.
Then they are hooked.

Now all they need is a coupon for sports cars.

I sure wish I liked the taste if Nestea, but I hate it, gave mine away. I am a Lipton Green Tea lover. Even that is mostly sugar water, so I limit myself.

Its funny you should say that I did the same with my dad with the Motrin now he's hooked finding coupons all over he calls me and tells me he got 5 of the Motrin and got a couple of extra coupons that he leaves in his Van for the next time haha he cracks me up now I got him signed up on all the coupon web sites and facebook he's having a ball and will be 70 soon you got to love that. Who said we can't teach a old dog new tricks.

LOL, that is great! I have my dad hooked too. I get some of the FPC's mailed to their house and he will always call and say "I got an envelope for you today, but I am keeping it". I say that I got them for me, not them, and he says "well it came here, and I want it, so I am keeping it". He has his small coupon stash and calls me to remind me if something is expiring or if there is a good sale price on for something we have a coupon for.

LOL, I guess they did raise me well, provide me with food and clothing, and help me pay for University. I suppose they can have an FPC every now and then. Plus all of the laundry detergent, soap, body wash, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, dishwashing detergent, etc I give them.

Converting a man is such a feat! Good for you OP! My mom converted my dad to coupons years ago.

The Janes chicken nuggets coupons that recently expired won my husband over! Now he starts asking me if I have coupons for stuff he wants. It is such an awesome feeling once they are converted!
