I haven't been on SC in a long time but this is worth sharing. I just want to show appreciation for this person.

We have traded numerous times and have never encountered any problems. My last trade with her was a $35 GC for SDM. I have not shopped there at all but probably about 2 months after receiving the GC I finally got to try to use it. To my dismay it was not working. I got the cashier to check at the other tills, but to no avail! I even said, I am 100%sure that is $35. *Shrug* but I left there not being able to the card.

I message SavenRaven and told her about the problem. I said that not for a second i thought she was out to scam me off of a measley $35 haha but that it was an honest mistake from somewhere. I wanted to ask if she knows for sure they had punched in the right amount and we can leave it at that. No need to get tied up over $35. I ended the message with a smiley face

If there could be coupon superheroes, she was it! She had incredible superhuman powers used to protect all that is good, in the name of saving money! Haha. She swiftly called around and emailed, followed up, take pictures of my card and her receipt and did sooo much work to get my little $35!!!

Thank you again so much. I seriously didn't expect this much effort ffrom anyone ever. Thank you.

Thank you for posting this! too many times we hear about things going wrong... it's nice to hear when something or SOMEONE goes right!!

I always, always put the receipt with the card, if i'm giving it away. I figure, it doesn't matter anyway if they know the amount.. most of the time it's written on the card anyway. And that way, instant proof of purchased gift card.

I actually didn't have the receipt and had to call SDM customer service. They were fantastic and tracked down the sale of the GC with my optimum # and had the $35 credited to the card within a couple of days. They still don't know what happened, but the sure did rectify it quickly. The customer service was excellent.

I should also say that Ilovesales was so kind and patient about the whole thing... I was so worried that she might have thought I was trying to rip her off!!

I've traded with savenraven before too, she is awsome.

But I think I would of been quite upset and not handled it so well because $35 is a lot of money to me.

So glad she was able to work it out with you and get the problem fixed.
