Hi Qats and Qittens! The end of a very very busy week, and too tired to go back and see what I've missed.

Did anyone hear that amateur musician Kim Mitchell talking about ragtime piano yesterday after spinning Martha My Dear? Paul McCartney apparently listened to Scott Joplin rags in his childhood. Joplin wrote, according to Kim, in the "mid-1800s". No slip of the tongue there, he repeated that several times. Kim then played a snippet of the Maple Leaf Rag, which sounds nothing at all like Martha My Dear, to prove his point. Maple Leaf Rag was written in 1899 when Joplin was about 32 years old.
