You can do multiples within the transaction. So yes, 80 chocolate bars could be bought in one transaction and get the 160,000BP (I'm going by your math).
However, stores do have the right to limit how many bars a person/family can buy per transaction.

Furthermore, it's not up to the store how many bonus points you get. It's coded into their system.
But again, they can limit you by limiting the number of chocolate bars you can buy.

Thank You!!! I get it now, so the people that said you'll only get 8000 points no matter how much you buy is wrong... Thanks again!!

I just bought 12 with no problems at all. Maybe try another shoppers. I'm not sure if my math is right or not but it still seems like a good deal to redeem during the week too. The way I figured it out is if I redeem 38000 points for $60 I can get 32 bars, so eight sets of the 4for 8000 bonus points, which will give me 64000 points (8 x 8000). Does this seem right? Seems too good to be true! Hopefully I can find some in stock if that is the case!

Yeah, the deal seems too good to be true... I wonder if Kraft is sponsoring this...

I suppose it's possible that Shoppers will change the terms of the promotion so that you can only get 8000pts per transaction, no matter how many you buy.
But as it is so far, you will get 8000pts for every 4 bars purchased (so if you buy 12 you'll get 24,000pts).

I have to admit because of this I did run out and I took advantage of the Shoppers promo.

I did too. Although I didn't go crazy by any means (no hundred thousand points for me).
But that being said, if it was a mistake the time to have stopped it would have been Sunday morning.
There's also this post. While some have taken it to mean Shoppers says no, to me it says typically it doesn't work, but it should in this situation. No where did the Shoppers rep say it wasn't allowed.Attachment 136422Last edited by luckbealady; Mon, Sep 10th, 2012 at 03:48 AM. Reason: Thought I should blank out people's names and pictures

I kind of went a bit Crazy but I bought everything, some chocolate bars, gum, ritz crackers and the cookies because my kids can't live on Chocolate alone. I only bought enough to replace the transaction I was doing then spent my redemption on a lot of other things. School supplies and a lot of food. Still I feel bad and want to go return everything because now ppl are unhappy. It is not over though the ppl can still redeem for the points it is worth it. I love spell checker cause my spelling is really awful. I am also nervous on one hand and on the other I did what Shoppers told me to do so why should I be punished for their mistake if it turns out to be one. sigh.

I did one small transaction just to earn points to get me to the 50,000pt mark. Like you though, my 2 other transactions were just enough to balance out what I was redeeming.
I'm not going to worry about it. What's done is done. And frankly, they had plenty of time to stop it (even if it is a weekend). I stopped reading the facebook posts mostly, because it seems like people are making themselves crazy with the rumour mill. Until a Shoppers rep actually says something, I'm going to believe that everything is on the up and up.

I went to 4 different stores (Tenth Line/GlenErin/South Common/Meadowvale) in Mississauga today to snatch the deals, as this is by far the best way to racked up the pts after the redemption.
Guess what?....their shelves are completely empty.
On my way out I saw my favorite cashier, and told him about the choco bars promo, he went to the back and check the stock for me, upon his return he had 2 shopping carts loaded.
So, if you went out and saw empty shelves, don't get disappointed, just go to the photolab/CS counter and ask them to check their stock room for you....You'd be glad you did.

You can go to two or three Shoppers and get multiples if you don't want all the transactions in one store. Or you could do two days of getting the chocolate from different stores.
