and then someone walks into the room, sees your butt hanging over the edge and your toes leaving the floor!!!

So many times this has happened. I can't reach the bottom without my tootsies coming off the ground.

The uprights are not as energy efficient as the chest ones. The reason is because each time you open the door the cold air in it falls out when as the cold air in the chest stays in the chest. They are definitally more convenient for sure. Sounds like you go a great deal.
