    @missdawn-Yes, I got the doorhanger freebie of Uncle Ben's Express Bistro rice! First time this year that the suburb gets a food freebie.

    No microwave here but the contents cooked up well on the stovetop. Use a lidded pot, add 1/2 cup water (trying to create steam pressure and hydration) and stir a few times during 5-6 min. on med. high heat. Tastes fine-I might want to add chopped fresh herbs in the last minute the next time I heat the rice to add some more zing.

    Is it just me or does it seem some the major Ontario charity lottery boards have advertising budgets that allow them to keep sending glossy flyers in the mail? Heart & Stroke sent another calendar lottery flyer. Princess Margaret Hospital was busy last month with a couple of mailers--you'd think that the PMH might want more nurses to know about its De Souza nurse free courses (when they were mentioned with the last Brazilian Ball article) beyond the Toronto Star article last month.
