I still have items from when coupons were more liberal, like Quantum, and laundry detergent and paper towel. These items will all be used and will never go bad. Most of the other items I have picked up on clearance (all our meat which goes in freezer) or on really good sales. I just don't find coupons for most of the edibles we consume except greek yogourt and soy milk lately. But it drives me nuts when I go in on the first day of a really good sale and it is sold out. Who to blame retailer or consumer?

They also should limit purchase so people don't clear the shelves. I think 4 items per purchase is plenty for a good sale and if you really want you can get more at another store.

Sales are to draw people into the store.

But what is sufficent stock? I live near the northside "NoFrills". That place is cleared out on a regular basis. It's become destination shopping for many, many people from all over the northside, Namao, St. Albert, etc.

Part of the blame lies with the company, they never expected the demand judging by the store size and parking lot. They planned on it serving the nearby community.

And when they have their $ days, it's a zoo. Shopping carts full of 2L pop despite the signs saying "limit 8" you get guys standing there demanding the cashier sell them as many as they want. They are bullies with a shopping cart. I've seen them hold up lines until the cashier calls managers. She (and it's always a female cashier they do this to) will say take 8 go to the car and come back. They just stand their staring her down.

I didn't catch the rant, but I did want to chime in.

I have met some wonderful people while couponing, but I have come across some unimaginably selfish scum as well. I really get why there is such a bad rap surrounding the practice.

And the sad part is that he gets paid to be such a bonehead! I can be just as big as a blowhard as him, wonder if I can get a job there?

Yes...I am sure we could all act like boneheads for that pay. What gets me about him is I have never known him to be involved in any kind of charity efforts. So many in the news lend their to name to fundraising and projects but unless I am mistaken I have not seen him do that...maybe he does..probably the anti gun registry or something similar...lol.

Granted it is fundraising however the police helicopter is primarily for hunting the "bad guys",etc.

I mean like Salvation Army, Bissell Centre, Mustard Seed, Youth Emergency Shelter, Hope Mission, Women's shelters, the food bank, etc. Basically charities that help people in need.
