Daniel Craig's performance in Casino Royale was the best Bond ever. I found Pierce Brosnan to be less believable, in the same way that Roger Moore was too straight-laced. Bond has to have a down-and-dirty side. I just couldn't picture either of those guys winning a knife fight. "When you've got a job to do you've got to do it well; you've got to give the other fella hell." Timothy Dalton suffered from bad scripts. I liked George Lazenby in his one go at it, which was one of the best films of the series. Which leaves Sean Connery as my #2. Apologies to the purists, but the acting standards are much higher now, and Daniel Craig lives up to the task.

I agree, although at the time he was Bond I liked Roger Moore, as Moonraker was the first Bond I ever saw so I equated him as Bond for a while but then as I got older he seemed so hokey compared to Sean Connery. I think Daniel Craig is fantastic as Bond...I cant wait to see Skyfall, I have not been able to fit it in and I will be dissecting Javier Bardeem's performance now!
