Ugh. I was going to order a Xbox card for my brother through amazon.ca and use $10 of my gift card credits to bring the cost down. BUT you can't choose how much to apply to the order, I have about $40 on there and don't want to use it all but it doesn't give you an option, it just takes it all off.

I'm now realizing that having a baby in a house on 2 floors is going to require stuff in multiple spaces for when I'm too lazy to haul my a$$ upstairs! Change station & washcloths are on the top of the list for an upstairs and downstairs supply!

I know the feeling! I was waiting for Wendy to get her book today and see if it's as good as she hoped it would be!

I love that he knows the value of a coupon! Well trained!

Agreed. So picturesque, but so...not the same

'5 good reasons for punching a dolphin in the nose' by 'the oatmeal' or something like that? He highlyrecommends it for a secret Santa gift type thing. It's also primarily pictures so....

Im about to break into great grandma's Christmas gift (turtles). I need some chocolate, stat! Wendy, please keep your little 'factoids' about the effects this Chocolatey heaven is going to have on my a$$ and impending saddlebags..hmmm...perhaps I should go upstairs every time I need to change these explosive diapers! Lol

Missie - where did you get these hockey stick candy canes? I'd love to get some for DH's baby brothers. They're 14 & 16 (his dad's second marriage so almost 20 yrs younger than us!) and they play hockey (of course they do! They're from the Soo! Lol). The one plays aaa though which is apparently a big deal?)

Glad you'll find a good use for todays gift!

This is dh with English premiere league soccer! It's caused arguments...

I'd have gotten your coffee if I'd thought there was a chance you'd share your treats! I was up at 4:30 today with munchkin. Yikes!

    Great cake!
That dolphin books sounds awesome! I have seen those hockey candy canes at Shoppers!

His 7th day present was an AWESOME, HUGE, HARDCOVER Discovery Channel book called `Discover the AWESOME World`. I can`t tell you how much he LOVED this book. He loves learninging facts about things and he was just so happy when he opened it. He even took it to school with him to show his friends. He`s 13 yrs old, so it was really nice to see that!

Thank you so much again MISSBEE!

He has been receiving some really lovely, amazing gifts! You were VERY generous to him/us! Thank you!!!!

I pee my pants laughing every time I read anything you've written here...I can just imagine!

    Momto2k's:

Sorry I have been awol this weekend; I have been super busy dealing with parents that are concerned about the teachers strike

I will try tomorrow, but it may be Tuesday when Emma's in school before I get a chance to read the instructions, etc to figure out how to put the pics on my computer to post.

Thank you SO much for all of the wonderful gifts...the kids and I are just SO spoiled!

I really can't express our appreciation...

Friday: I got a Golla case for the CAMERA
The kids opened Thursday & Friday on Friday, and were VERY excited: My Little Pony & Angry Birds Coloring / Activity Books, and a 24 pack of CRAYOLA crayons each!

Saturday: I got an AWESOME white divided cheese/pickle dish to match my serving dishes (right from my WL, I might add!)
The kids got this SUPER CUTE Snowman kit with the hat (just like the one in the Frosty Movie!), carrot nose, really nice scarf, buttons for eyes & down his belly! - and it all came in a MESH BAG to store it in, which is AWESOME! (This is also a gift for me, because I can now get rid of all the old, ugly scarves, hats, etc that I have kept for snowmen!) - Perfect timing, it seems, as we are experiencing our first snowstorm RIGHT NOW

Today: I got really pretty Christmas ribbon and...labelled sticker name tags for Emma (I always have to find someone who's handwriting the kids will not recognize to do them for me, so AWESOME gift- and also right off my WL!)

    Thank you SO much!

I will try to sit down to read the instructions and get the pics posted Tuesday

    Thank you

^^^ Seriously ladies... sometimes I think I have no "thought process"...

    ATTEMPT #1

Bought pretty (but basic black underwear).

Next, I go off to Michaels to find an "Iron on or fabric paint or stick on thingamadoodles" <-- you know what those are... right?!?!?!

I (without thinking to much about it) choose and pay for a very beautiful pink sparkly cat. I think its cute.

I bring it home... Iron it on the pantaloons... Hold it up for my hubby and he *dies* laughing.

    ME: "WHAT?!?!"
HUBBY: "Well, babe... your sending a FRIEND of yours a pair of underwear with a pink cat on the front... "
    ME: "Yup, its cute.. eh?"
HUBBY: "What is another name for cat?"
ME: **RED FACE** "Oh My Goodness-- I absolutely cannot send her that"
    HUBBY: Still laughing
    ME: *facepalm*

    ATTEMPT #2

Involved enough glitter that her hubby might accuse her of being a stripper.

The will never be an attempt #3. Ever.
