Good Morning did Christmas shopping including a quick trip to Barrie for curling shoes and Sunday was sit on my ass day.
Ecat and Spartacus congrats on the new blues. I was also at Yorkdale on Friday from 1:00 to 4:00, the parking lots was crazy. It took a half hour to go from the front to the back looking for a spot to park. That was until I found the secret, and I’m only telling this because I’m not going back before Christmas and never going back unless it’s first thing in the morning. The entire lot was full, and when we got around to the back I see the sign for the underground parking the signs shows 400 spots available. I drive down and it’s parking heaven, warm and empty. And every spot has a light over top of the spot. If there is a car in it its red, and green if it empty and they are high up so can see what empty and full from one end to the other. I did not care if I had to pay, as you have to remember I have no patience. But when we came out as we were under 4 hours we did not pay. This lot is under the new section. Course it still took a while to get out and go home.
Neon – Congrats on the new pink, and Karl for Blue
Karl, Wolfie, Rocklobster and all for memories of John Lennon I missed hearing about that on Saturday as we had the iPod plugged in all day.
And the videos for Saturday I could have spent the night just watching them. At least the Marlies won that night.
Loocie – glad to see your treatments coming to and end. One friend just finished his treatment too. I hope you get your health, strength and taste buds back soon. I’m still trying to talk my best guy friend to start treatments, he want to fight it homeopathically.

When dolphins in captivity attack
07/12/2012 9:30:00 AM
by Monica Bugajski
A couple, attacked by a dolphin during a swim-with-the-dolphins program, described the incident as a "scene taken from the movie Jaws." Is it time to do away with marine parks?
While honeymooning in Cancun, Mexico, Sabina Cadbrand and Christofer Stenstrom thought it'd be a fun idea to swim-with-the-dolphins at Dolphin Park on the Isla Mujeres. But once in the water, things did not go as planned.
A ‘friendly' dolphin named Picasso began biting the humans it was supposed to be playing with, and Stenstrom said the panic that ensued was like a "scene taken from the movie Jaws," except with dolphins.
The attack is the second of its kind in recent weeks. At SeaWorld Orlando, a dolphin bit the hand of eight-year-old Jillian Thomas while she was feeding it fish. Her parents captured the event on camera and posted it online to warn other parents of dangers involved in interacting with the captive animals.
Though it's unfortunate the people involved in these incidences suffered injuries, I don't particularly feel bad for them. Maybe a little bite was just what they needed to realize that these dolphins are living, breathing animals. They aren't playthings for humans to amuse themselves with.
Cetaceans are known for their intelligence and general friendliness, but we also can't be surprised when they react poorly to being held in captivity and being forced to interact with us. These animals don't lose their natural instincts. If they are hungry and feeding, they bite for food and may grab a hand instead of a fish, and if they at all feel threatened, they may attack.
You cannot blame the dolphins. There's only been one recorded incident of a dolphin in the wild attacking a human, and that's because the humans was feeding it. And because dolphins held in captivity are in an entirely unnatural state, they can't be expected to be personable all the time.
Marine parks that offer interaction with these kinds of animals are doing more harm than good. Not only are they exploiting the animals, they are setting the public and staff up for disaster. On top of suffering injuries, both trainers and marine animals have been killed at marine parks.
Forcing wild animals to perform for our own amusement and interact with us is dangerous and irresponsible for both the animals and humans, and it's best to end the practice before things get really out of control
- I agree wholeheartedly - yes it is time to put an end to these cruel practices and let these creatures live free in the oceans where they belong - I am so sick of hearing about "marinelands and seaworlds" and swim with the dolfins popping up everywhere - please everyone stop supporting this type of thing............

& if you combine it with supper can you call it sunch?
I'm thinking of making these on Christmas Eve,
Stuffed Lasagna Meatball Muffins that are topped up with cheese,
There will be a buffet with pate & smoked meats,
& I'm hoping that someone will bring their delicious baked treats,
I'll be the hostess, so please bring the bordeaux,
& a mistletoe smooch will be most apropos....
