Here's the info from the Terms and Conditions (it does not mention which provinces/territories qualify)
Due to each province’s regulations and the regulations of each provincial Pharmacy Regulatory Authority, the issuance of Shoppers Optimum Points for prescription drug purchases and select products purchased through the dispensary varies by province. In addition, there may be restrictions on the issuance of Shoppers Optimum Points on prescription drug purchases in accordance with the provisions of the Shoppers Optimum Members’ third party drug plans. Shoppers Optimum Points will not be awarded to any third party drug plans on prescription drug purchases made by their clients. See store for details or contact the Customer Service Centre. In provinces where prescription drug purchases qualify for points, the individual Shoppers Optimum Member may only accumulate points for prescription drug purchases filled in his or her own name, with the exception of any of the Member’s children under the age of 16.

if you buy SDM Gcs to pay your medication, the GCs will give you regular points...don't forget to have your Optimum card scanned when buying your GCs

If insulin or test strips, these can be purchased over the counter and on 20X point promos. Just get SDM to write you up a receipt for your drug benefit company, and attach the prescription with it. Next time, you only need the receipt and a copy of the prescription (which would presumably have "repeat" denoted). In Canada, insulin can be purchased over the counter.

Found this on their site:
Points are awarded on the Full Price of the Patient's Prescriptions except in P.E.I. and B.C. where points are awarded on the portion of the prescription paid for by the Patient. Points are not awarded on prescriptions in Ontario, Newfoundland or Quebec.

There was an article in today's Vancouver Metro titled:
"End to loyalty points for prescriptions near? College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. Province may ban getting points for prescription drugs by mid-2013."
http://reader.metronews.ca/digital_launch.aspx?id=3744758e-2ee5-4c13-a052-56711bdbdc91
^^^ It's on "page #2" but it's the 4th page in because of an advertising overleaf.
The gist of the article is that points for prescriptions may end in BC by mid-2013. Pharmacists in Alberta are also pursuing such a prohibition.

I get my yearly mega redemption at Shoppers almost solely from points from prescriptions. I really hope they they don't end that or Airmiles on prescriptions.
