As I am up early (and a little bored, laundry room doesn't open until 9am). Here's a more detailed list of what we have Christmas meals - I know you are all dying to know lol

Christmas breakfast (my fav part of Christmas) is the traditional full English breakfast - scrambled eggs (as there will be 10 people), bacon both real and turkey, fried portobello mushrooms, fried tomatoes, fruit salad, cranberry organge mini muffins (which my mum calls mufflets), mango juice, lychee juice, tea and coffee! We open presents after breakfast!

Christmas lunch is all different types of posh cheeses (Brie, Stilton (yuck but dad and Mac like them), and others that they pick when cheese shopping! Fancy crackers, fresh bread, clementines, and this really yummy pacific salmon pâté (that I got a the one of a kind show, currently in my parents freezer!

Christmas dinner is turkey, with stuffing on the side, roast potatoes, roast carrots, ( and sometimes parsnips - though I am not fan of those), green beans and gravy! Dessert is a trifle! Mmmmmmm.... Plus we always have Christmas crackers and everyone MUST wear the hats through the ENTIRE dinner!! This year I bought children's ones for everyone as the toys looked more fun than the typical gift tee, lol!

Must have been hot dog night - we had hot dogs and kraft dinner and apple crisp for dessert - we had ordered pies through a friends school and they had an apple crisp option this year - it was pretty good!

Here in my part of the Maritimes it is a big deal to stay up all night and cook the turkey so it can be had at Noon, hence no real breakfast 'cause you're having dinner in a few hours. I think this goes back to the day of wood and oil cooking stoves (mil just got rid of her oil cooking stove 5 years ago!).

Being from BC I found this quite strange but went with it until we started having our own Christmas Dinner. A lot of the reason is because I grew up more 'english' and we had a HUGE breakfast on CHristmas monring and I LOVE BIG BREAKFAST. So we have waffle, french toast, bacon, ham, toast, fresh fruit and the big treat is whipped cream for the waffles and I always get a bottle of Rogers Golden Syrup from my mom in the mail. Can't get it here, Lyles Golden Syrup is similar. I could eat waffles everyday and never get sick of them. My brain goes crazy and thinks it can eat 7 but I usually get through one.

Christmas Dinner is more simple for us - Turkey, Stuffing (Scott steals some of his moms, she make the potato kind, I make sausage and sage), potatoes, gravy, carrots, corn, something green and usually a Caesar salad for oldest dd who isn't a fan of potatoes. Dessert varies, but most of us would rather more dinner than dessert.

Day 21 brought me an assortment of stamps, ink pads, stickers and card stock! This is perfect because one of the projects for the GG's this sunday is card making! Thanks so much Bri!

Today is cleaning up the house day, that is if I get off my butt. I am also treating myself to a bath at some point today.

Day 21 was a funky zebra stripped magnetic note pad with a "L" and matching pen. It came with a package of "zebra pens"... these are my absolute favorite pens in the world... but I'm to cheap to pay for them. I also received a 4 pack of mini highlighters. Pics to come later in the day

Bluz, would you mind doing me a package every month? I am having soooo much fun with this.

There is a lot of snow out there! And some stupid drivers, really stupid. Walmart didn't have everything I needed, no coffee cream, seriously? so I'll have to go out to Metro later, but I got a McDonalds breakfast mmm. And came home to a sympathy card from the vet, both vets who looked after Mea had written nice notes and they included two of her paws prints. It was so unexpected and nice, makes me all teary eyed.

Now, I should be cleaning and wrapping and doing laundry. But I'm on here instead, and wondering if it's too early for a nap

day 21 brought me some Betty Crocker measuring cups and Measuring spoons which is great because I have a weekend of Christmas baking ahead of me, as well as a bag of Kinder Bueno Eggs and a Reuseable shopping bag.

Not much for Christmas here. We get up to do Santa gifts with my dad if he shows up. (Last year he did not and we were crushed because he is a single bachlor and this has been out tradition for the last 10+ years!) Then we venture out to my in-laws for the day. Mom makes the turkey, fixings and whatever baking she managed to get done. I do the other half of the baking (this year will be butter tarts, shortbread, and a square called a six layer square) and make the spinach dip (I would be shunned if i didnt bring it~lol) and my sister law just brings whatever they feel like. We dont usually know what to expect from them.

We dont get together too much with my side of the family as everyone is usually working or away some place. We are managing to get together with my one aunt and uncle but they were like parents to me growing up. So we will be having supper and a small Christmas at their place on Sunday night for the kids.

I am procrastinating too.... I have so much to do and don't know where to start - I woke up at 6am and was wide eyed and ready to go but made myself go back to sleep and now I am twice as tired!

Slambert - I hope you feel better soon, and wishing lots of luck to hubby!

started the laundry, but of course someone beat me up there (darn procrastinating) but at least there stuff was already in the dryers. Got 4 loads to do, then I think I am going to take DD to the indoor playground as she is feeling better to let out some energy. Then I got to go down to Bloor Street and pick up the painted ceramics we did last Friday for the grandparents, then off to the Hot Oven bakery to get some yummy meat pies (for Christmas Day as a surprise for my dad as he is bummed about having to cancel his trip to India as my mum can't travel as she isn't getting better from pulling/tearing/hurting her groin muscles). Then Bulk Barn for more baking ingredients, the LCBO to uy my favourite wine (MIL has bad taste in wine), the groceries store to see if they have DD's yogurt drinks in now. Then baking and packing to go to MIL's! So just an average relaxing day....
