Remember when I had to send my Keurig back to Cuisinart? I called for an update just now and they are sending us a new unit! Doing the K Cup happy dance!!! I have been trying not to look at the 2 gifts of K Cups that I got on this train from Briwantstosave - now I know I can use them soon.
Mini Buddy - your parcel Finally left Halifax yesterday morning, hope it makes some progress over the weekend.
It's a balmy -6 here now, much better than the -28 it has been the last few days. At work the power company pulled a 'scheduled power outage' to us 2 times in 2 days. They call 30 minutes in advance for a warning and then give us 10 minutes when they know they are going to do it for sure. That's not a lot of time for us to get our rubber making machinery cleaned out, and computer systems shut down. It makes for a hell of a mess in the 12-15 hours following. If there is rubber being mixed in the mixers it will start to cure and harden and it's a Bit*h to get back out. We had just recovered from the first outage we had wed. and they called at 5pm yesterday and did it again. I was glad we were almost done of our shift both times... we basically got the last 2 hours off work, they make us all go to the main cafeteria that is lit with generators and wait it out.
The power co. did this because of the over work that the grid was having to do because of the cold temps and we are a huge power user so if they shut us down for an hour or so it keeps homes and communities from having outages. Michelin used to pay big bucks to uninterupted power but they don't do that anymore - wonder if that is Emera's way of 'getting back'?? hehehe.... Like HUbby said they don't want to be messing with a big Comany like Michelin that has 3 plants in NS and employs more than 3000.
Anyways, that was my excitement the last 2 days.Last edited by bluzsuz; Fri, Jan 4th, 2013 at 01:03 PM.

so who sent in resumes to host the next train? I feel the need for trains!
I am a little hopped up on gravel I think the 2 days in a row travelling wore me down I spent last night on the floor of the bathroom begging DH not to take me to the hospital I hate them. I feel alright know but I am still in bed might just hide here for a bit.

Hi Ladies,
First, please know that anything I post about the “package trains rules” is approved by Jez prior to my posting.
I wanted to further explain our decisions. Please know this is not open for discussion. Our decisions are final.
This train brought many of us joy. Unfortunately, the train brought some sadness to some riders. We made the rules VERY clear from the beginning and everyone was expected to follow them.
We had riders that failed to post updates of gifts received, didn’t explain the gifts that were purchased for them, didn’t post photos, didn’t send tracking numbers, opened all the gifts at once and 1 rider that didn’t send a package.
We have taken into consideration that sometimes life gets in the way, but when little to no effort was made to thank your buddy we were left with little choice.
Jezebel is sending a private message to those who will be missing 1 or 2 package trains. Juliep will not be allowed to ride another package train for failing to send a package.
The riders, who will be sitting out, please think about your actions. Before you request to join the next package train ask yourself if you have the time to participate in this type of train.
The package train team will be reviewing the rules again before the next train is posted. We will continue to update/change/adjust rules and/or riders to ensure that EVERYONE has a great ride.

Thinkin' about "Pumpkin's Pantaloon Package Train"
Everyone must send a "decorated pair of undies" OR "something made from undies" in their package.
Bahahahahahaha... C'mon, you know you wanna ride
