    Glow-in-the-dark Easter Egg Hunt

Take glow sticks and break them up and put in plastic eggs. Then hide them in the house and turn off the lights for the hunt.

Easter tradition...your kids plant jelly beans, and when they wake up in the morning, lollipops have "grown" where the jelly beans were planted. If you don't have a yard, it's too cold to hang outside or just because: use a flowerpot full of soil inside instead. Would still be just as magical to wake to a pot full of lollies. Love this idea!!!

Attracting birds to your garden is a good way to keep away harmful insects. A good project for pre-school and elementary school students is to make your own bird feeder. Its so simple…
    1) Recycle toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls
    2) Smear on peanut butter generously
    3) Roll it in bird seed and press bird seed into peanut butter
    4) Place tube on sturdy branch

    Slicing a Sheet Cake

A piece of unflavored waxed dental floss makes faster―and cleaner―cuts than a knife does. Hold a piece of floss taut between your fingers (it should be about a foot longer than the cake itself). Drag it down through the cake, then release one end and pull the other end out of the cake sideways. Continue to “cut” in a grid pattern.

    Scooping the Ice Cream

To prevent a sticky situation, start scooping before the party starts. Place individual scoops in a cupcake tin lined with paper baking cups and transfer the tray to the freezer for up to several hours. After the cake is cut, remove the scoops from the paper baking cups (or not) and drop them onto the waiting plates.
