Sorry but until a couple months ago I had hardly used my optimum card as I only had enough to redeem $10. That was until the gang here taught me how to use it and maximize my spending

1:Are they always in cosmetics and fragrance when you spend 75,000 points to get $200 worth?

2: When you use it do you tell the cashier up front you are paying with points?

3: Do you earn more points on the stuff you just bought using your points?

4:If you had to return something how does that work?

5: Are you allowed to use coupons in with this offer or not?

I think that's it but I might be back to add more

NO, in the past they have been for anything and I hope that they keep that.

2: When you use it do you tell the cashier up front you are paying with points?
I haven't - it comes up on the till that you can.

3: Do you earn more points on the stuff you just bought using your points?
    No I don't think so

4:If you had to return something how does that work?
    I don't know

5: Are you allowed to use coupons in with this offer or not?
    Yes

    3 outta 5 isn't bad. Thanks

Also forgot to ask how often these events occur?

I'm curious also on why you don't earn more points as you did buy product

You didn't buy product, you used your points card to cash in for products. so why do you think you would get points? I think it happens 1 or 2 times a year

I looked through the threads and found full redemption bonuses (ie you can use your points for anything) 4 times in the last 12 months (December, March, July, and September). There were a bunch of 'cosmetics only' days as well (Feb, May, Sept, Nov).

I'm pretty hopeful that there will be another 'full' redemption day before Christmas - they'd be crazy not to try and cash in on Christmas shoppers (for digital cameras, TVs, etc)
