The expiry on all the NEW packages I purchased was April. Sorry if that wasn't clear to you and you just assumed my story wasn't true. I apologize for trying to help the SC who said they couldn't find fresh pasta that lasted that long.

Sorry, I didn't think the purpose of this site was to question everything someone says, but I can post pictures if you'd like.....

Maybe next time you shouldn't make assumptions! Next time I won't try to offer help.
No, please do continue to help.

I read the post and it was obvious to me that you were referring to the 2nd package because you mentioned the date of April after you referred to returning to the store.

People, there is no need to jump down anyone's throat here and slam their credibility because a post was misread.

Also, whenever I have ever had an issue with a product at Loblaws, they have ALWAYS refunded my money AND replaced the product as part of their satisfaction guarantee. So OP was just getting what she should have been given by the company.

it may not be worth the time and aggravation to some people to return the food or whatever, but to others it is. I would have done the same thing. I pay good money for a product and they have a responsibility as the business to make sure the product is fresh. What if her bf had not noticed it, cooked it, covered it in sauce, they ate it and got sick??

I find bad food at my local No Frills and Zehrs all the time. I am going to stop shopping there because if they do not care enough to ensure their product is fresh and waste my time having to return it, then I am not going to waste my money shopping there.

I have to agree at times you need to cut your loses. I have stopped buying milk from No Frills as their 4L bags obviously are no stored correctly as they go bad well before the best before date. A bag here or there I could see but when one bag went bad early, than the replacement bag went bad early I switched brands. Tried it again after a couple months and yet again it went bad early. So I know buy my milk else where.

I am impressed Loblaws goes that far as most stores here would not. They will replace and that is it.

Huh. I didn't get my money back for the bag of nasty apples (one bad one in the 3lb bag)...Loblaws only offered me a replacement bag. I'm a bit disappointed, but I can't say I expected much more.
