I LOVE REXALL CLEARANCE!!! =D
Over the past week or so I have been stalking the Rexall clearance rack by my home and work. I have scored tons of freebies such as 6x Lysol No Touch, 3x Dial Body Wash, 2x Dove Body Wash. But today topped it all off!!!
Went in last night and was given a hard time by the evening staff about using coupons on clearance items, apparently this is not allowed. Then after telling me I wasn't able to use coupons, told me my total and asked if I wanted bags. PLEEEEEEASE, I am NOT buying this stuff without coupons.
I had to leave my entire transaction because everything I was purchasing was on clearance!! Told the cashier I would be back.
So this morning I went in on work break and talked with Jeff (manager) who has seen me come in and out of that Rexall since I was 15 years old, he apologized for the grief they gave me and rung me through personally, as an added bonus he gave me the overages!!
2x Lysol Soap Dispenser Kits;; $4.97 - $5 insert coupon ($.06 overage)
2x Nexxus Shampoo;; $4.96 - $2 hang tag (paid $2.96 each)
2x Axe Conditioner;; $1.47 (no coupon)
1x Axe Styling Pomade;; $7.99 - B2G1 Free insert coupon (FREE)
4x Aveeno Pomegranate and Rice Body Wash;; $2.47 - $3 call in ($2.12 overage)
2x Pantene Beautiful Lengths Shampoo;; $2.47 - $2 Peelie (paid $.47 each)
1x Pantene Shampoo;; $1.97 - $2 Peelie ($.03 overage)
1x Pantene Conditioner;; $3.97 - $2 Peelie (paid $1.97)
2x Dove Body Wash;; $1.47 - $2 printable ($1.06 overage)
2x Durex Vibrating Ring;; $1.96 - $2.50 insert coupon ($1.08 overage)
Savings (as listed on receipt);; $92.15
Coupons Used;; $50.99
Total Saved;; $143.14
Total OP;; $14.56 ($7 was taxes)
When I got back to work my co worker wanted to see my goodies, she was slightly envious of the Durex Vibrator.
So I gave her one as well as an Aveeno wash. *both not pictured*

I m so jealous, rRexall has soo many great clearance items, the lysol system is even cheaper than WM. I finally found one that were $7-$5, pay $2 for it, and you got an overage. that insanely good deal. I have never seen dove body wash down to $1.50, at least not here in Toronto.

It's funny because originally I saw the No touch for $7.96 and didn't have my coupons on me!! So the next day I went in with my coupons and lo and behold they were marked down the $4.97.
There was even John Freida for $3.49 - $3.99 a bottle. Wishing I had those $10wub3 coupons!

With a little patience you can refill them yourself. You just need to pry offthe lid of the refill thingy with a butterknife. Works good and you can choose wichever scents you like. I did this with my old dispensers. Its what i will do with these new ones as well, the refills are just SO darn expensive!!!

Ladies, a word about the Lysol no touch systems. I purchased 2 last year when they had the rebate offer and got them for FREE. I had 2, one in each bathroom and they were great - for about 2 months. Afterwards, they started to malfunction, dispensing randomly all over my counter, blinking nonstop without being activated, not dispensing. After researching and troubleshooting on google, I fixed them temporarily until they just stopped working AT THE SAME TIME! Are you serious? My husband fiddled and fiddled (he has patience like a rockstar!) and I just gave up on them. I called Reckitt and was mailed out 2 FPC's which I happily redeemed for 100 Finish dishwasher tabs each!

I figured that was a better bang for my buck rather than purchasing that piece of junk again. We ended up throwing them out and now, I'm back to using my free softsoap reffills in my bathrooms.
Good luck with yours, hopefully you will not have the same issues as I did.Last edited by Trinimoneysaver; Mon, Mar 4th, 2013 at 04:01 AM.

You are lucky to get overage for Rexall. In the past in my store, as long as the coupon is 1 cent over, cashier refuse to let me use it, by claiming they can't reduce the coupon, and they can't give me money instead.

You're so lucky! At the Rexall near me, they have clearance items marked but if the coupon is for $2 and the item is $1.99, they won't accept it. No adjusting down, if you can't pay the list price in cash or electronically, you can't have it. Also, most of the shelves are marked with $0 savings! The regular price is $4.99 and the sale price is $4.99. There's a neon yellow long tag that says "Save $0.00"!! I don't even know why they bother printing the tag.....
I've also seen negative savings where the clearance price is higher than the regular price. My Rexall really has no clue on how to sell things.
