Thu, Mar 28th, 2013, 02:36 PM #1I went to No Frills (ON) bright and early this morning and picked up pies and ice cream. These are 2-day specials for today and Saturday.
The President's Choice ice cream, which is real ice cream and not "frozen dessert" like some others, comes in a whole variety of amazing flavours . . . so good, especially for $1.97! I picked up 10 which includes several vanilla to go with the pie and a nice variety of my family's favourite flavours. At this price, I'll hang on to my Chapman's $5.00 coupons for another time.
And the large, 1 kg Farmer's Market brand apple pies are frozen, unbaked which is PERFECT! I picked up 10 to use whenever I need a quick dessert. Warm, freshly baked apple pie for $2.97!
(The already baked pies that many stores are offering this weekend don't freeze well . . . they get soggy . . . so I'm happy, happy, happy with the frozen, unbaked ones at No Frills!

Great brag! Was it only the apple pies on sale or did they have other kinds like blueberry? Thanks

It's just the apple with cinnamon variety. It's on the front page of the NF flyer. It's a large pie and apple is a family favourite at my house. We've had the Farmer's Market brand before and they're excellent. Thinking these would be already baked pies, I was prepared to pick up a couple for Easter but, when I saw they were the frozen, unbaked ones, I decided to stock up!
