"personalized" shoppers coupons with incorrect optimum number

hmmm I received these in my email as well, but didn't even think to check the optimum # on the coupons...

I was planning on using a couple of mine (BP for lays chips, and $3.49 for schneiders bacon)
hopefully won't have any issues.

I got a good bunch of coupons.. cereal is on sale for $3.49 so $1.49 after coupon. No issues using coupon even without Optimum.. just have the cashier enter the code and it works

I tried to use one emailed to DH with his number on it using my card; wouldn't work and even though staff knows DH and myself they said they couldn't override. I went ahead with the purchase when they said just come back with his card and they'll return and repurchase but I've recalculated and will just return on my own card and repurchase to $75 for the 18,500 points which is a better deal anyway. Coupon was for 8,000BP wus $40.00 on calcium supplements & vitamins; I didn't think I could get to $75.00 for the weekend promo (already did 2 transactions!)

I had to peek at DH's and under "special in-store offers on your favourite items" he got an ad for maxi pads, tampons, and liners. Nope, I seriously don't think they're trying to tell you anything.
