I live in Hope, and probably won't be back towards Vancouver before my FPC Cheerios expire
I'll buy the other flavours if I have to before then, but we were really wanting to try the peanut butter ones!
And no, you didn't miss something in this thread, I'm pretty sure it was in the last package train thread that we had found out and I told everyone. It's about baby on the way, not Jackson. When we had our ultrasound beginning of March, we found out that baby has a cleft lip.
We then we referred down to Children's Hospital shortly after for a more detailed ultrasound and whatnot. From what they can see, they are pretty sure it's just a cleft lip and not a very severe one and that it's not a cleft palate, but they can't be 100% sure until the baby is born. Baby will need surgery at about 3-4 months of age to fix it. So, it's been a bit of an emotional ride the past two months, but we are mostly positive about it and will get through this. Children's Hospital IS amazing and I'm so happy that we will have the best care possible for our baby there.

I can't imagine your anxiety! All we want, as mothers, is for our babies to be born healthy!
Even if baby did have a cleft palate - they have made major strides in cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries. I have seen many boys and girls with barely visible scars. You wouldn't know it unless they shared their story.
I'm sure the pregnancy hormones haven't helped! I'd be emotional too. Heck, without being pregnant I'm a sappy emotional person! Your baby will be in my thoughts and prayers, and so will you! ♥
I've got friends in Chilliwack - I'm sure there's PB Cheerios there! Or Walmart in Abbotsford? A bit of a trek, but darn it, I'd do it! LOL

Yay!! I'm glad you liked everything. When you posted about the Richmond sorting centre on the envie I thought - um weird, I live in Delta! - but your package summary says that same thing!! Seems so backwards! LOL
I was waiting forever for your bracelet to come in - I ordered it custom online for the colour!
I had a lot of fun spoiling you and your family!!! I thought you could make ice cream cone cupcakes and scoop a bit of icecream or frozen yogurt and top with sprinkles!! Summer fun!

Hi ladies! Just saying goodnight. Had quite an exhausting and frustrating day! That situation that I mentioned yesterday took me all day to resolve. Not sure if I shared with you all...I'm recovering from major surgery that I had in November and I'm still home unable to work. Basically I was told yesterday by our Occupational Health Nurse that I was OVERPAID my short term disability benefits by a whopping 42 DAYS by my employer and SunLife. I am not back working full time yet, just gradually right now. So to be told this yesterday was quite a shock to the system. She left this message on my home vm saying I was in an OVERPAYMENT situation and I needed to speak to the Disability Coordinator as SHE will be off until the middle of MAY. Great!
I must have called this lady 100 times today...no joke. STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL! I called the Nurse's Supervisor as she left her number as well on the message yesterday in her absence...STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL! Ok, I'm starting to take this personally! They KNOW I'm calling to find out how this is going to affect me and how this could happen! I even did *69 and VOICEMAIL. Are you kidding me? Where are they? I ended up leaving messages for both ladies to call me at home.
So I'm thinking all SORTS of things. How can they overpay someone by so many days? I mean a few days pay is fine, 5 or 6 but 42? Can you IMAGINE having to repay back 42 days of your salary? How many weeks will I need to go without pay to pay ALL this money back? How are we going to survive on one paycheque for a few weeks? Do they take a portion of money each pay so you still get SOMETHING or what?
So I'm looking at all our accounts, where I can move $$ if I needed it, in the event that I have to pay back all this money. I'm TOTALLY freaking OUT!!! (sigh). Had a good cry about it. Couldn't sleep last night or anything. Was worried all freaking day about this. I couldn't eat and just had anxiety all day! I'm calculating it would take me about 5 full pays to repay this money. HOLY CRAP!!!
I FINALLY get a hold of the nurse's Supervisor and she tells me she was briefed about "my case" yesterday by payroll and she will look into it and call me tomorrow. TOMORROW?? I have to endure ANOTHER sleepless night worrying about this? We are making do with the reduced pay I'm currently getting, now to hear I'm in an OVERPAYMENT situation...not comforting.
Didn't really get anything done today...was very, very distracted and couldn't concentrate. I continued to call the Disability Coordinator whose phone is STILL going straight to VOICEMAIL. I call the HR desk to see if she's even in the office today. Yup, but she's not at her desk. REALLY Sherlock? I would never have guessed. I leave a message with HER telling her I've left messages and would appreciate a call back about this situation.
In the middle of all this nonsense...hubby calls - "Can you take my suit to the cleaners I have a visitation to go to tonight?" Why SURE I will - I'm home doing nothing and why not waste $20 to dry clean your suit that I had dry cleaned just LAST WEEK to go to that dinner and dance. SURE NO PROBLEMO. He asks about the situation and I tell him I'm still waiting for a resolution. He tells me not to worry and to go about my merry day. He said it's THEIR error, not mine. Yeah okay buddy.
Against my better judgement, I slip out quickly to go to the cleaners (even though I didn't want to even leave the house for fear I would get those phone calls I was waiting for). I get to the cleaners only to be told I was too late for same-day service. I'm just about ready to scream at this point. Can this day get ANY better? Grudgingly, I rush BACK home (suit in hand) check the phone - no missed calls. Boo.
I start to steam his suit. We have a Conair steamer, best thing I ever bought (besides my Nutribullet). Back on the hanger the suit goes. My husband is a bit of a diva when it comes to dry cleaning his suits. Usually, he will be like "did you dryclean this?" HE didn't suspect a thing! Hmmm...I could be on to something here.
I think that was the only productive thing I did all day!
Around 4pm, I receive a call from the nurse's Supervisor. She was in a meeting all afternoon with her Manager and they decided that I DO NOT HAVE TO PAY BACK THE OVERPAYMENT AMOUNT!! WHAT??? OMG!! THANK GOODNESS!! What a &#%@^%^$% RELIEF!!!
They discussed it and it was THEIR error through no fault of mine. NO REALLY? Sheesh!
Only crappy thing is that I will now only be paid for the actual hours worked - no percentage top ups for the remainder of time not worked. I'm back full time on the May long weekend, the short week. At least I'm getting SOMETHING right?
Still waiting for my blood pressure to go back down from all the anxiety I experienced today!
NOTE - I actually started writing this reply about 10:20pm Thursday night and dozed off! So posting it now.Last edited by Trinimoneysaver; Fri, Apr 26th, 2013 at 03:46 AM.
