Does anyone here work for Aramark? I am just wondering if the company allow their managers to provide references to their current and past employees? Please send me a message if you know.

I use to work for them until they decide to fire me while i m on mat leave. it was not cool at all, I end up filing a case with the ministry of labor on them. I would stay far away from this company!

have to agree with you cinpow.. i know someone who was unjustly fired recently.. supposedly she served alcohol to a minor, but i know that she would never, ever do that.. she's a very diligent worker, she would always ask for id if she was unsure

I currently work for them but don't know the answer to your question...so far they have been great and have even offered me room to advance in the workplace once I graduate with my diploma. Will see what happens when I do graduate, but so far no complaints as long as I get paid for the hours I'm working and actually get enough hours I don't care :p

They will not give references. A couple friends working in NS and NB could not get them to give them a reference. They said it was company policy not to give references for current/past employee's.

Where I work they will...I asked and they said it would be fine if I needed references...

It might depend on the location or area manager. They were both working at university cafeteria's.

Yeah I just realized Aramark is a huge division that has a bunch of different venues they work with. I don't work anything close to a kitchen job but I am still employed by Aramark. It might make a difference where you are going to end up working if they will give references.

Never hurts to ask. I only know the kitchen side of things and the hospitality ie (the university residence turns into a hostel in the summer and they hire for cleaners).
