I just have a list of my family and friends phone numbers.
Most of them have safeway cards but do not shop there and do not care if I use their phone number.
So if I want more than one, I just go through the list.

Who wants a good double dip????

Come on you know you want it!!!

Buy 8 bags of lays potato chips and spend 20 and GET 2 free cases of pepsi... first dip
Double dip time... if it is all in one transaction you can then use that $20 receipt for the B$20G$20 rebate promo!

Thanks so much Bob for listing the Lays deal... it just took me a couple days to get with it and put the deal together!

I did this today and here is the math

8 bags of lays and ruffles mixed up $20
2 free cases of pepsi including the deposit
1 form for buy 20 get 20 and this equals

Buy 20 get 20 plus 2 X free 12 pack cases In my books this ends up being PAID TO SHOP!

I checked it out... they are talking about keeping the stores separate and if they leave the stores separate they could maximize their profit because shoppers has sky high prices to work with the optimum points. If they get rid of the points they risk cheesing off a hugeeeee loyal client base. With the extra stores they can replenish the shelves with lower priced goods and not reduce the amounts that people have to pay there for increasing the profit margin and maintaining the loyal client base. There are so many more people then couponers that use that shoppers optimum card and they won't go for lower prices in place of that card... I know my Mom would walk away from Shoppers for good if they messed with her card... she is not a couponer anymore and hasn't been since the early 90's. Messing with these points would send floods of people to places like Co-op who will still give you a check once a year for prescriptions. Rexall has a point program for prescriptions... as does safeway and other places... competition should keep our points programs in effect. We are thrifty couponers and no matter what... we will adjust and keep our budget's best interest at heart. I am not worried.... LOL there is always competition ready to offer great incentives who are more then willing to pick up any slack. I am going to have to name the incentives the airmiles/optimum refugee rewards offers.

This is what I have spent at safeway's this month (not including the $300 in prescriptions... full coverage + airmiles on that)

4 Old El Paso Taco kits $18
16 bags of Lays chips $40 (my daughters friends will by extras for $2 a bag so having this many is no biggy)
4 X 12 packs of pepsi $4.80 for all... that is just deposit and i will get that back!
4 boxes of special K cracker chips $10
    1 Black Diamond cheese 500gm $FREE
    2 X 2L of milk $4 plus deposit of $1 so $5 total
    1 X 4lb container of fresh blueberries $10
12 pack of Safeway 1 liter apple juice $6 plus $1.20 deposit so $7.20

    Without tax I spent $91 even - a $5 coupon wus$50 so $86 pre tax

Perks I got and will get back
4 Old El Paso $4 off meat coupons
4 free cases of pepsi ($3.99 value)
1 free black diamond cheese ($5 value)
1 $10 gift card from the general mills deal
    2 $20 pepsi coupon deals (i used 2 addresses)
    Deposits on drinks $7

Total value of perks without airmiles is $85.98 I think i did alright at safeway this month!

Oh yeah and the bonus plan... I am selling about 10 bags of chips to my daughters friends for $2 a pack... adding that creative touch is what makes a great deal a fantastic one! (they are all junk food junkie teenagers LOL)

I remember that outstanding deal we had on Van Houtte coffee a year or so back. It included a $4 printable coupon as I recall.

See today there are booklets for VH with a $3 coupon on the shelves. Might be useful going ahead.
