well I decided to check it out was in the area -nice clean stores I may add but service -not so great
so I was price matching 3 cashiers asked me to come to them -well I did only to be told to go to service desk-so really I couldn't believe that one -so over to service desk I go had to wait behind 3 people -then I get to her and she has to call another girl to override my 9 coupons -unreal -so I asked for a comment slip as this was using up my valuable time going to the service desk to price match and then waiting again for an override -I told her why override -she said "well not many people use coupons"!!!! I said I do and their are many who do -" well we are a pilot store in Canada" so what I thought they should have worked out these kinks before they opened -I didn't say that -so I nicely filled out a comment slip but no box to put it in -so they took it I stated that my time was wasted and it didn't need to be -well walmart has my business mostly all of it from now on -I found their prices to be to high -I price matched every item except 2-of all the employees in the store only one said hello how are you tooLast edited by coupon girl; Mon, Jul 29th, 2013 at 12:43 PM.

i think target has it's place.. i found good deals there and not so good deals.. the staff are all still new and still working out kinks.. it seems every time i have used a coupon they have to get someone to come over and override to enter the coupon.. which is very... odd

That's really strange. Went to Target on the weekend (was in the first batch to open) and used 1 coupon, no override required
. Mind you, they didn't have all the stuff they were advertising...

I made my first visit to target on the weekend. I was PMing covergirl wetslicks ($3.99 at pharmasave with $2 p&g + $2 covergirl target store coupon) and I found Pantene shampoo and conditioner on clearance for $2.79 each ($2 in coupons made them $0.79 each, yay!)
The store was nice and there were a lot of open cash lanes which was good.
What was not good was that I had 4 items I was using coupons on and instead of being able to enter all the coupons at once the cashier had to call another girl for over-ride after the first coupon. The girl she called was also cashing customers through in her lane a few rows over. She literally came back and forth 4 times to over-ride my 4 coupon items instead of just staying and over-reusing each item as it scanned. Ridiculous! I get that she didn't want to make her customers wait either but why would the over-ride person also be running a till herself when the store isn't even busy and lots of lanes are open? Soooo stupid and a waste of time but at least they didn't give me a hard time and i got free 2 lip glosses and very cheap shampoo and conditioner. Won't be bringing my coupons to target anymore though, it's insane that they need to over-ride every individual coupon.

i dont bother with normal registers anymore, if i try , they usually need to call over the customer service person.
so i just do my coupon shopping at customer services now.

Wow so this is the coupon situation at every Target? I've only been there twice, but didn't have a problem. But I did go to Toronto Shoppers World and Thorncliffe, which were some of the first to open, so maybe they've sorted themselves out?

i also used 6 coupons on 6 blocks of cheese (onsale for 4.88 coupon was 75c) and they had to call a manager if it was OK to.. 1-use that many of the same coupons, 2-to use the coupon on an item thats onsale

My Target has the same issue....the first coupon is fine but every coupon after that has to have an over-ride. Maybe it's time we all started emailing them. It is an incredible waste of their customer's and employees' time. If no one tells the people who can change things, nothing will change.
So many coupons....so little time!

Hopefully they will train their staff and avoid those issues sometime in the near future, I wouldn't be amused either

If you bought something from Target, enter that survey printed on your receipt and comment on the coupon overrides/multiple staff/cash areas you have had to wait for.
I don't like the flashing lamp post routine cashiers have to use in order to get a supervisor over to override a price. Have noticed that a clearance price sticker is not an assurance that the correct price will come up when UPC is scanned.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

i think the limit for coupons is really low, like $3 or something. all coupons after that initial amount need an override. and the process for entering every coupon seems to take forever.
